Yup you read correctly! Sailor Moon R the movie: Promise Of The Rose is being re-released to theatres in January! As you all know Viz Media was able to license the entire Sailor Moon series including all the movies.
This makes me so excited since I have to this movie in VHS and would watch it all the time. So being able to enjoy this movie in theatres makes me a very happy individual. So thank you Viz for bringing Sailor Moon to theatres and making the little girl inside of jump for joy!

I think this a great way to start off 2017. Too bad I have yet to join in the fandom. Don’t forget Shay, if you do go, the theaters are supposed to give the fans a special gift.

While I love Sailor Moon I was never much of a fan of the movies (though this one was definitely the best of them).
I remember getting a watch with purchase of the VHS. I was so devastated when it broke. The R movie is definitely a highlight of the entire metaseries.
