I know that everyone has seen a Miyazaki film at one time or another even if they didn’t know it at the time. But I would like to know which are your favorite ones?
I actually have 2 favorite Miyazaki films and one of them I used to watch a lot because it would always come on TV. My 2 favorites are Kiki’s Delivery Service
I actually didn’t watch Spirited Away until I was in college but I fell in love with it the moment I saw it.
But which are your favorite ones? Comment down below to let me know and why.
~Anime Reviewer Girl!

I would say Spirited Away and the Castle of Cagliostro are my favorites. I like Kiki’s Delivery Service and Howl’s Moving Castle but unfortunately I only seen portions of it in the middle and the ending. I need to watch them from beginning to end.
I still need to watch Howl’s Moving Castle because I’ve heard a lot of good things about it!
You should definitely watch Howl’s Moving Castle because it has one of the best graphic and best sound track. The music was so great!
It does look impressive.
Highly recommend you watch Howl’s Moving Castle. Not only is it impressive, I think it is one of Hayao’s best work since Spirited Away. It touch on so many topics– environment, imperialism, colonialism, war, corruption of govt and friendship.
Even though i only seen portions of it, i thought he did a great job on the art
My favorite flim that you can only watch once is Grave of the Fireflies. I have never balled my eye out so much with one scene.
I haven’t seen that one yet but I have heard of it.
It’s worth watching, though just to note, it is not a Miyazaki film, though it’s from Studio Ghibli.
Kiki’s my first and childhood fave anime movie, but Castle in the Sky is a very close second.
Kiki’s Delivery Service I watched when I was a kid too and I immediately fell in love with it.
Ponyo?
Nice choice. Haven’t seen it but I did hear that it was good.
Spirited Away gets my vote.
Yay!!!!
I haven’t seen them all, but Spirited Away is my favorite thus far.
Yeah there is a lot that I haven’t seen yet either but Spirited Away was amazing!!!
Mine is probably The Cat Returns. I love how they took the Baron and gave him story
besides he came from a Miyazaki film I watched a bunch when I was little. It was also really funny. I think I laughed the most at.
I haven’t seen that or heard of that. Thanks for telling me about. Now I have to check it out haha.
The Cat Returns was a really good movie. I sometimes confuse it with the Whisper of the Heart. They both have a talking cat in suits. lol
Well it would make since that you would get them confused ’cause two of the characters came from Whisper of the Heart.
I have many favorites from Miyazaki because I love the way he integrates society, traditions and environment together. The one I grew up with is Spirited Away. However I have other favorites such as Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke, Whisper of the heart, the Cat Returns and Howl’s Moving Castle. He is such an amazing director and person.
The only movie I watched that I hated would probably be Ponyo. I don’t know what happened that he decided to partake in that movie.
I love how Miyazaki makes his movies fun for everyone to enjoy no matter what their age is since everyone can relate to it in some way.
Love all the above movies (with the exception of Ponyo), but my very favorite from Miyazaki is perhaps his most unusual – Princess Mononoke. I also really enjoy a lot of other Studio Ghibli films not directed by Miyazaki, like Whisper of the Heart (favorite!).
I will try and check out the ones that you mentioned.
My favorites are Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke
Spirited Away was amazing and is still one of my favorites!
Spirited Away was the first Miyazaki movie I ever watched.
My first one was Kiki’s Delivery Service.
Cool, I think Kiki’s Delivery Service was the third Miyazaki movie I watched.
