So I know that this title sounds strange but I wanted to know how your friends feel about anime in general. Do they watch it? Do they not understand it completely?
I know I posted about family before when it came to anime but I’m not sure if I included friends. If I didn’t please continue reading and of I did well please continue to read anyway.
For me at least I have a group of friends that are into anime and really enjoy it and then I have another group of friends which I have known much longer that aren’t really into it.
The ones that are into it I completely nerd out with and we can literally talk about anime all day!!!
My other group of friends though just kind of look at me like I’m crazy when it comes to anime so I’m definitely the nerd one in the group. Don’t worry it doesn’t bother me at all.
Now my group of friends that aren’t into anime do know that I like it and they kind of understand it but their anime doesn’t go beyond Pokemon and the original Sailor Moon series. For a long time though I didn’t really show them just how much I like anime until probably when I got into college and it’s mostly because I that point I stopped caring about how people thought about me and just was myself. They don’t make fun of me for it they just don’t understand my fascination with it.
So I now extend the questions to everyone else! What do your friends think of anime? Are your friends into it or are you like me and have a group of friends that love it and a group of friends that don’t understand it? Leave your comments below and let me know.
Also thank you everyone for your input on my last post I loved reading the suggestions I got. If you have more you can send them to my kik if you have one which is ShayChan08 or you can email them to me at animereviewergirl@gmail.com.

Well, it depends how I view my friends. All my friends from twitter we just talk about anime. As for my friends from school well, either they do not know I watch anime or they watch anime but we do not talk about it.
I can definitely see how that can happen.
At the same time my friends on twitter are other anibloggers, so that might be why we talk about anime.
Yeah that does make sense. That’s the same for my kik. A lot of people that I send messages to kik on are also anime fans.
I get: “Oh you’re stupid AND you’re a pervert”.
Oh wow!!!
Thats what i used to get… In my workplace… Haha
Hey~
Saw that pic and i was just finished with LB S1… Loving it so far
Back to topic:
Most of my friends dont mind me watching anime but my classmates alienates me.
Haha I had no idea where that picture was from but thank you for telling me. I may have to watch the anime now. But that’s mean that your classmates alienate you. They shouldn’t just because you like anime.
My country’s society is pretty conserverative so…yeah…
But the eroge tho, so much better than the anime tbh…
Yeah it makes me which that society understood anime more.
I have a friend that knows about anime and manga. He and I know a lot of Naruto topics, but I tell him about One Piece and Bleach information.
That’s really cool!
All my friends watch anime so I don’t get any negative comment from them. In fact, they are the one who got me invested in anime. As for my classmates, they always see anime as hentai.
That’s cool that your friends got you interested in anime. But I do hate that those that don’t know what anime is automatically think that it’s hentai when there is more to it besides that.
Well, being a guy in his 40s I don’t have too many friends who like anime. There are a couple of co-workers who watch and I talk to about it with. Otherwise people kind of think it’s a little strange, but most who know me know that I’m a little strange anyways and just accept that as par for the course.
That’s good that they just accept you for who your are and what you like. But I’ve gotten those strange looks too.
Most of my friends were either existing anime fans or became interested in the genre thanks to my influence.
That’s really cool! I’m always looking for new friends who like anime since then I have someone to talk about it with.
