Many of us have seen anime’s that have made us cry for example Clannad, Angel Beats, and Anohana. But can you remember the first one?
I remember that the first anime I ever cried during was one the last episode of the 1st season of Sailor Moon. It was when they were fighting Queen Beryl and all the other Sailor Scouts had been defeated and Serena was all alone.
It just broke my heart and I was balling my eyes out. Also I was 8 years old at the time. But even today when I’ve gone back and watched the episode it has made me kind of tear up and revert back to that 6 year old girl when I watched my first anime.

The first time I cried from an anime was Pokemon: The First Movie. It was bad enough when the song “Brother my Brother” was playing when the actual pokemon and the clones were fighting, but I cried like a baby when Ash got turned into stone by Mewtwo and Mew and all the Pokemon was crying. Pikachu’s tears was my trigger. I was a kid back then when it happened.
I didn’t cry to Pokemon: The First Movie, but I was really sad too that Ash got turn into stone, and all you see is Pikachu trying to revive him.
Omg yes I remember that part in the movie! That part made me sad too!
OMG yes, that was definitely a tear-jerker!
I’ve never seen that one(I don’t think),but I did cry at one of the movies. It was that lucario one. When everyone was in the tree and that ooze stuff swallowed everyone accept the Pokemon. And how they let all their Pokemon out and told them to run away. And then all the Pokemon started crying. When I saw the tears in Pikachu’s eyes starting to form I was like ‘Don’t you start that!’ as tears were forming in my eyes. I cried pretty bad at that,but it wasn’t my first or my worst.
I remember that moment. That was really sad.
Glad you agree. Because I was the only one in my family who cried at that moment.
I like that part and if my memory is correct, the moment where Ash and Lucario tried to save the tree and Lucario sees his master with the flower.
Yup! That part made me sad to…
The Lucario movie was great.
Yah,if it could make me cry it had good writing. Good movie.
I think it was when Nephrite was fading in Molly’s arms.
Yup a lot people thought that part was sad too!
I don’t remember the first one that made me cry but some Fairy Tail episodes had me in tears like when Lisana came back when Mira and Elfman were at her grave, Angel Beats like every episode and etc
Yeah all those parts were sad but Angel Beats had me sobbing for like 10 minutes at the end.
i would say SAO, because Clannad is like…where everyone cries and its kinda common…
sorry i cried at Asuna being killed by that old geezerThe first time I cried to an anime it was Clannad of course. I watched the 7 or 8 final episodes of the series all in one night and cried the entire evening like a big baby. Grave of the fireflies also made me cry quite a bit.
I haven’t seen Grave Of The Fireflies but Clannad made cry so much!!!
Naww that sailor moon scene takes me back hehe I cried at that scene too 🙂

I have never really “cried” during an anime, but the endings of Angel Beats, PMMM Rebellion, Ef (both series), and when Hare died in Guilty Crown really made my eyes watery. There are probably a few more, but I forget the rest.

I don’t know what my first tear jerking anime was but one of them was Code Geass. The ending for both seasons of Code Geass.
Yeah Code Geass definitely had its tear jerking moments.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who first cried over anime in Pokemon: The Movie! I also cried a fair bit in Code Geass. I cried happy tears for the ending of Ouran though, just because I really think the intro song is so inspiring coupled with such a good finish to the anime.
A lot of people I know cried over Pokemon: The First Movie and it was a sad movie. I didn’t cry during Ouran but it is definitely one of my favorite series and I can’t watch it over and over again.

I cried during the chimera scene with Nina in Full Metal Alchemist. So much sadness…
Omg yes that was such a sad scene!
The first anime that made me cry was InuYasha the Movie. The scene where Sango doesn’t fight Kirara and tries to remind her of when she wasn’t in the possession of those umm..women. and how Kirara tried to smash the shard in her head. It made me cry so hard for a reason I don’t know how to explain.
Omg yes that was a very emotional moment. It didn’t make me cry but it is definitely rememberable.
