I decided today to finally watch the first 2 episodes of the anime Dead Account and it was show that I had out on my watch list for winter 2026 anime. I was really intrigued on how it dealt with the occult plus the premise what the main character was a troll online.
When you first meet the main character Souji he is a high school dropout and he runs a online channel where he seems to fight people and then post it online. At first I didn’t feel bad for this character and thought he was going to be a typical delinquent character but I was surprised to find out why he does what he does.
Turns out his sister is sick and he is using the mo way to help his sister get the surgery that she needs. This made me feel for the character. But in a matter of minutes I was crushed when you find out his sister passes away.
He find solace in thinking he is still communicating with his sister but there is a catch. It’s not his sister but her ghost and after being confronted by a mysterious guy does he find out that when people have a strong connection to someone in this world they can’t pass on.
This awakens a power inside of Souji and he soon starts training at a school for others to fight off these ghosts and send them to the beyond.
Overall I’m really enjoying this show so far and can’t wait to watch the best episode. It definitely seems to be a cross between Yu Uu Hakusho & and Bleach to me but not in a bad way.
