Friday Realizations & Thoughts!

So yesterday I came to a realization that really spoke to me. Yesterday I found out a friend of mine got a new and it’s a good job. So I found myself comparing my currently job, life, etc to her job, life, etc. It’s safe to say that me having those thoughts didn’t make me feel very good.

I was left feeling inadequate and wanting to make a change. Well I decided to do that by looking for a new job. It wasn’t until I got home from work that I really started thinking. Was I looking for a new job because I wanted one/needed one or was I looking so that I can try and compete with my friend or try and keep up with her?

The conclusion I came to was that I wanted to keep up with her and I was really afraid of falling behind. This is a great fear of mine. I fear not being successful in my life, I fear my friends leaving me behind, and I fear not living up to my potential.

So this morning when I thought about what I really want and what I want my career to be. The same thought came to my mind and it was entertainment. It’s something I’ve always gravitated towards and I know it’s the path I want to follow. But now how to do it. That part I don’t know but I’m gonna figure it out.

For now though I’m just happy that I came to this conclusion. Also now I plan to continue following my dreams and going to continue working on staying true to myself.

I guess to leave everyone with a questions is what’s something that you fear and what’s something that you want to accomplish?

What Makes You Love The Anime Fandom!

I know that a lot of time the anime fandom gets a lot of crap regarding it being toxic or unwelcoming. But I can honestly say that it’s not all bad. I actually have a lot of really good moments in the anime fandom.

For me the anime fandom is the place where I made a lot of friends. Both in the real world and online. It’s also been a great conversation starter when I’m seen wearing something anime related.

Plus without anime I definitely wouldn’t be where I am now. I definitely wouldn’t have a YouTube channel or a blog talking about anime and I wouldn’t be able to talk on podcast about the same topic. Plus it also opened up me looking into other fandoms and jumping headfirst.

So what do you love about the anime fandom? Has it changed you? I would love to read your answers.

How Has Anime Inspired You?

As I’m sure you know many of us watch anime for many different reasons. Some for the art, some for the dialogue, and some for the adventure. But now I wonder if anime has ever inspired you in the real world?

For me I can honestly say that it has. Anime has inspired me to be myself. It also helped me with being confident. Well maybe not anime overall but particular shows or characters inspired me to work on myself.

Also it sometimes inspired my style. There are definitely times that I remember watching a show and then trying to copy some of the characters more simpler styles. You know the ones that didn’t require 0 gravity to actually do. But the girls ponytails or bangs I used to try and copy.

Also many of the outfits that the characters wore would inspire me to look beyond my style and look for things I found to be really cute.

Writing this post made me realize that anime has inspired me a lot. I mean even this blog and my YouTube channel are inspired by anime. Without anime I don’t think that I would’ve started either. Anime gave me a hobby that I enjoy and also many friends.

Highlight Of The Week?

So today is Friday and I don’t know about everyone else but today has felt like both a short but also long week. But I’m curious as to what was the highlight of your week? What are you happy about that happened this week? What are you proud of yourself for doing? Or what did you accomplish. The ideas are limitless.

For me my highlight of this week is that I’m proud of myself for going to the doctor for my checkup. I’m terrified of doctors but when I went this time my new doctor was really nice and helped me feel at ease. Yes I did shed some tears because I was nervous but overall it went well.

Another highlight was being able to finish the anime Carole & Tuesday. It was a great show with amazing music. It also helped me to accomplish having a new anime review video for my YouTube channel.

What Anime Song Or Soundtrack Are You Currently Enjoying?

The main reason why I decided on this topic is because I just got finished watching the anime Carole & Tuesday. This anime is a music anime so of course there is a lot of music/songs to listen to.

For me currently it is definitely this soundtrack that has been stuck on my mind. Before that it was the Cannon Busters opening and ending song (definitely recommend checking it out). So I’m wondering what song or soundtrack are you enjoying currently?

Many times the music in a show can definitely be one of the first things that get you hooked. Before Cannon Busters I hadn’t found any new anime songs I enjoyed. I was still listening to the old ones that I enjoyed. Which may explain why I was in a bit of an anime slump.

So give me some ideas on what you’re listening to! I would love to know! Also please tell me what anime it’s from as it may make me want to check out the show so that I can listen to this song.
