What Anime Clichè Needs To End?

Published January 18, 2016 by Shay Taree

So I’m sure we all know and have seen anime’s that have the same theme or cliche’ around it but we still enjoy it.
Now what I means why these recurring cliche’s are genres such as action shows that have the recurring theme of a hero that has someone to beat so they have to get stronger to beat that enemy. Then the theme just continues until the show ultimately ends.

Many times these cliche’s can appear differently but they still have the same ultimate ending. Now the question that I have is what anime cliche’ would you like to see end or changed?

For me I would have to say the romantic comedy genre since even though I do enjoy a good romance anime I would still love to see them genre get a makeover or not be so predictable.

Some shows have changed this genre around and actually did make the show less predictable or took it further than normal. Those shows were Paradise Kiss

& Itazura Na Kiss.

If you haven’t seen them check them out!

But what anime cliche’s do you wish would end or how would you like to see them changed? Like how would it be if the hero actually lost instead of won or if all the characters didn’t survive in the end? Comment down below with your answers I can’t wait to read them!

Guilty Pleasure Anime!

Published November 23, 2015 by Shay Taree

So I know that many of us have either enjoyed an anime that we shouldn’t have or we have a genre of anime that we like that others may not like.
I know that for me when it comes to anime my guilty pleasure anime has to be any anime that I watched when I was younger. No matter how old I get or even how bad it is I still enjoy it. I guess it the nostalgia I get from those anime but I can totally watch them whenever I’m bored or just want something to watch that entertaining.

As far as for anime genres that are a guilty pleasure I guess I would have to say any anime that’s geared towards romance. I guess it’s the girly side of me but for some reason I just enjoy that genre so much so the most love involved in it the more I love it.

So what anime, anime genre, or both do you find is your guilty pleasure. Comment down below with your answers. I can’t wait to read them!

Date A Live Review

Published September 30, 2015 by Shay Taree

So I finally got a chance to watch Date A Live and I did enjoy it.

Here is my YouTube video of my Date A Live review

but you can keep reading below for my written review!

There were definitely moments when I got bored with the show. But they didn’t out weigh the good. Here is a synopsis of the show:

“Itsuka Shido is a high school boy. On the last day of the spring holidays, an explosion destroys the town and a girl in armor appears in front of him. Shido’s step-sister, Kotori, tells him that the girl is called “Special Disasterous Designated Creature: Spirit”, which causes a timespace quake. Kotori disclosed that she is the commander of the anti-spirit organization Ratatosk and orders him to go out on a date with the spirit girl. Kotori says, “I don’t ask you to beat the spirit. Just let her fall in love with you and save the world.”

At first when I started watching the show I did get pretty confused since I wasn’t for sure where it was going but then once it hit like mid way I got very into it and realized how funny this show was. The hilarious parts of the show were a lot of times from the side characters like Shido’s friend who was quite funny whenever he was around.

Now this is a harem show so if your not one for harems then you may not like this show but it definitely wasn’t bad. I don’t mind harem shows because I find them pretty interesting.

By far though my favorite part of the show was definitely the last few episodes when it got very dramatic just because it fun to see the characters be serious for a nice length of time.

But overall I give this show a 7 out of 10. It was definitely enjoyable and had great humor involved. It also had romance which I of course like and it also had some dramatic moments to give the show some depth. So if you haven’t seen it check it out and if you have let me know what you think of it.
