Chronicles Of The Going Home Club Review

Published March 26, 2014 by Shay Taree

I started this anime about last week but due to going on vacation I wasn’t able to finish it until yesterday. But here goes my review.

This anime is pretty much about a group of girls in high school who don’t join any specific clubs but one where they just get involved in different hijinks after school. They do have their very own club room which is where the scenes mostly take place.

This anime is really funny and fairly short since it’s only 12 episodes and very similar to another anime that I enjoyed. This anime also has a few parodies so try to see how many you can find. I definitely caught the Dragonball z reference as well as a few others. This makes to anime fairly similar to the Student Council’s Discretion with the anime parodies, comedic humor, breaking the 4th wall, and how each episode is it’s own individual story just a bit.

So definitely check out this anime if you haven’t already especially if you enjoyed Student Council’s Discretion.

Naruto 5th Movie Review!

Published March 14, 2014 by Shay Taree

Not that long ago I happened to pick up at my local Walmart the newest Naruto Movie. Well the movie actually wasn’t bad at all.

The 5th Naruto Movie is titled: Naruto Shippuden the movie Blood Prison. The movie is about how Naruto is framed for a crime he didn’t commit and is sent to an inescapable prison named Hozuki Castle. Of course once Naruto gets there he causes a lot of ruckus.

Overall this movie was good and I enjoyed all the action and seeing all of our favorite characters again, but this definitely wasn’t my favorite Naruto movie.

The art in the movie was great and I enjoyed it and the music in the movie also fit the show. One other great thing that I liked about the movie was that you got to see killer bee which was awesome!

But my favorite thing about this movie is that if you have the DVD then there is short where Naruto goes against Konohamaru in the Chunin Exam. That was super funny and had me laughing from beginning to end and I’m not going to tell you how it ends but it was awesome!

So if your a fan of Naruto definitely don’t miss out on the newest film. So happy watching!

Steins Gate Review!

Published March 13, 2014 by Shay Taree

Now I had heard of this series a while back but it wasn’t something I really wanted to watch at the time. I finally decided to watch it when I was on YouTube and heard one of the English voice actors or voices the main character in the series talk about. That is when I because intrigued into what this show was about and decided to watch it once I had the time.

Steins Gate is about a group of individuals who find out that they are able to send text messages into the past to change the present due to a super microwave. The show starts off with a funny feel definitely due to the main character the scientist Okabe who is arrogant and thinks he’s better than everyone. In a weird way he kind of reminds me of Brain from Pinky and the Brain. But anyway Okabe realizes that every time they send a message that he gets sent to a parallel time where the message sent has came true but he is the only one who remembers what the past was and what has changed. Later on though Okabe starts to see what changing the past can do and sees the consequences that can happen. That’s where the darker element of this show comes into play.

In one scene in the latter half of the series you see Okabe lose his mind due to him trying to save the life of one of his dearest friends which all of a sudden makes him real and no longer the arrogant character that he was before.

No you know me and I love romance so of course this anime has a little but of romance and even a kissing scene (yay!). But overall this series was perfect to watch and had me from the beginning to the end.

So if you like time travel and drama plus even some violence and romance then Steins Gate is a great show to watch.

Anohana Review!

Published March 12, 2014 by Shay Taree

Well like I promised here is the anime review for today!

So the anime I’m reviewing is called Anohana. I had been wanting to watching this anime for awhile now because it looked interesting but I heard it was sad and I didn’t want to cry. But when I had a day off and wanted to watch a short anime Anohana (it’s 11 episodes) was what I decided to give a chance in watching. When I finished this series I was very happy that I gave it a try.

Anohana is about a group of kids now teenagers who have gone their separate ways after the death of one of their friends. Now years later Jinta also known as Jintan is able to see the ghost of Menma. Now Menma is aware that she is dead but she remembers that she had one last request. Now through out the series you see how the group starts to come back together but you also see how each of them have to face the feelings of what happened that day when Menma died and the feelings of what happened after.

Now this series wasn’t all sadness because it did have a few funny moments too, but the tears definitely did fall. I started crying after the first episode so that says something. This series also has romance as well with quite a few love triangles going on in the series with a few broken hearts happening as well.

The music in this show is also amazing! I absolutely fell in love with the ending song “Secret Base ~Kimi ga Kurera Mono. I have this song in my playlist and a piano version as well since this song was so good and definitely fit the entire feel of the show.

Now if you enjoyed shows like Angel Beats or Clannad/Clannad After Story then you will definitely enjoy Anohana. Just be sure to bring a few tissues with you as your watching it.

There is also a movie that acts as epilogue after the series which I haven’t watched yet but I heard it’s good so I plan to watch it soon.

So check out Anohana and thanks for reading my review!

Sailor Moon Volume 8 Review!

Published February 4, 2014 by Shay Taree

So like many others I was so excited to find out that the Sailor Moon manga was being re released so I of course have been buying each volume. So here is my review about Volume 8.

Volume 8 was well really good. Reading it brought back memories of me watching it happen in the anime but this was so much better. You have Pharaoh 90 taking over Hotaru’s body but Hotaru is trying to fight back as well as keep safe the soul of Chibi Usa and also the legendary silver crystal.

Then the souls of the sailor scouts are then taken as well but Hotaru is about the keep them safe as well and keep them from being absorbed.

There was only one thing I didn’t like about the manga and it’s just that the attack names can definitely sometimes be very ridiculous. I mean one of Jupitar’s attacks has the word coconut in it. Just plain weird!

But the manga also had it’s sad and sweet moment when Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, and Sailor Pluto leave and say goodbye and with them is a baby Sailor Saturn who help them to of course save the planet. It was a really sweet moment when they said they would all raise and definitely had me saying awwww since baby Sailor Saturn looked so cute!

But anyway definitely check out the manga if you haven’t already and now I’m reading volume 9 so look for that review soon.

Aiura Anime Review

Published February 2, 2014 by Shay Taree

I watched this anime quote a bit ago but it still one anime that I think about maybe re watching from time to time. The reason because I did see how great a gem this anime really is and it makes me wish that it was actually even longer or possibly had a second season.

The best way to explain Aiura is that it’s seems like the combination of Hetalia and Lucky Star. Similar to Hetalia Aiura is only 5 minutes long per episodes and like Lucky Star it’s around a group of girls and the day to day mayhem they encounter while in high school. This show is beyond funny and had me laughing from the first episode and even from time to time wondering why I was even watching this. But anyway I loved it all the same.

This is great anime to watch is you just want to watch something that’s funny and you can watch really quickly. I finished this series in one day which was great since I happened to watch it on my day off. But still I’m begging the creators to make another season of this since it was so damn funny!!!!

Fairy Tail Ch. 369 Review

Published January 31, 2014 by Shay Taree

So like many others I’ve started reading the fairy tail manga and I absolutely love it. I actually wish that it was released more than just once a week.

But anyway so on this weeks chapter we finally find out the fate of Jellal and then it leaves is with a bit of a cliffhanger since the seal has finally been released. Due to a unfortunate or fortunate circumstance if you want to look at it a certain way.

Now while I did enjoy this chapter I couldn’t help but want more but I guess that is what the mangaka wants from us. You don’t find out anymore about how the others are doing and you don’t find out anymore information about that guy Silver and who he is to Grey since Natsu said in the last chapter that they smelled alike. I’ve heard a few guesses as to what he may be but I’m guessing that he is Grey’s father but I guess we all just have to wait and see.

So if you haven’t yet go check out and read chapter 369 of Fairy Tail. I’m sure you’ll love it and want even more like I did.

Aishiteriuze Baby Review

Published January 30, 2014 by Shay Taree

I watched this anime a long time ago but it is still one of the few animes that gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

This anime tells the story of a high school boy by the name of Kippei and he is a very flirtatious boy who flirts with every female and is know as a player. Well he ends up having to take on a lot more responsibility when his aunt Miyako disappears and leaves her 5 year old daughter Yuzuyu alone. Kippei then is given the task of having to take care of Yuzuyu which along the way causes him to grow up.

This was a really sweet anime that even have some romance in it for you romance junkies like myself. The only downside to this anime is that while it does end pretty well there is also a manga which I definitely recommend that you read as well. The manga gives a much more complete ending and it’s also a little sad too. But one this is definitely for sure is that if you watch Aishiteruze Baby you will be looking for more animes just like it.

Ai Yori Aoshi Review

Published January 27, 2014 by Shay Taree

Ai Yori Aoshi was a really sweet anime that I watched on a whim when I couldn’t think of anything to watch but I was in a romantic anime kind of moon. I had kind of heard a lot about this show and while it is an older anime after reading the synopsis it peeked my interest and made me want to watch more.

The anime is about how Kaoru ends up meeting a girl named Aoi who is his betrothed fiancé and childhood friend. Now he doesn’t know who she is at first but pretty quickly he finds out and when I mean quickly I’m talking about the first episode. But anyway Aoi is much different then other girls since she still wears Kimonos as her regular style of dress but all the same she is a very sweet girl.

Like most animes yes there is drama and there is even some mystery since as the series progress you want to know exactly why Kaoru ran away from his home in the first place.

No there were some moments where I did get bored with the series but the love that Kaoru and Aoi have for each other and the sweet moments they shared kept me watching. Oh as well as the interesting and funny characters that appear as the series continues.

So if your looking for a romantic series with some good fluff but also has the dramatic and mystery with some comedic moments then definitely check out Ai Yori Aoshi
