Attack On Titan Part 2 Live Action Review!

Published October 28, 2015 by Shay Taree

Alright so just like I promised I went and watched part 2 of the Attack On Titan Live Action movie. Check out my YouTube video with my review also here:

But let’s get on with the review!

So let me just say that the whomever decided on the route they decided to take in this movie definitely fell off a cliff at some point. That is because they decided to make up their own ending which is perfectly fine but what they decided to come up with just did not make sense and completely took away from the original story line.

There were too many moments that didn’t make sense. Plus like I mentioned before they tried to put wayyyy to much romance into the live action.

The other thing that bothered me was the sub characters in the show since some were likable but many of them were just kind of mean or lame. I also could tell which ones were from the actual anime or were just made up for the live action. Also to top it off there is no Annie in this live action which totally sucks because I was waiting on see Annie and the female Titan.

Overall it just got really weird to watch with the different elements that were thrown in. To me they could have followed the story line better and even if they did come up with their own ending it definitely could have been better. So that is my review of the Attack On Titan live action part 2.

Comment down below on what you thought of part 2 of this movie of you saw it. If you didn’t see it then let me know of you will or why you won’t. I can’t wait to ready your comments.

Death Note Live Action Lead Casted….Possibly.

Published October 23, 2015 by Shay Taree

So as many of you may know or may not know Warner Bros in the United States has been planning to do a live action of the hit anime series Death Note.

Well I was reading through my news feed and realized that they have actually just casted the lead for the live action. They decided to cast Nat Wolff

who was a lead character in A Fault In Our Stars and also the movie Paper Towns. From what I read they were in the final negotiations.

Now I don’t know how I feel about this. I mean I think he’s a great actor but I wonder how his take on Light Yagami

is going to be. I think it will be interesting to see.

Now I know that live action anime’s have a bad reputations but will anyone see this live action? I’m still on the fence but what about everyone else. Comment down below on what you think.

Attack On Titan Live Action Movie Review Part 1

Published October 7, 2015 by Shay Taree

So I went and saw the Attack On Titan live action movie and I’m not going to lie I definitely didn’t like it. They definitely changed for me the plot of the show in general, the characters personalities, & also left out a fan favorite character.
Also check out my YouTube video video on the movie as well.
So the one thing that I definitely noticed is that they tried to bring more romance into the show. They definitely wanted to make it seem like there was a romance going on between Mikasa and Eren. It’s like in some ways the Titans was just a sub plot around the romance and tension between Mikasa & Eren.
Also Eren and Mikasa’s personalities were very different then how they were in the anime. Eren in the movie very much tried to act like the hero the entire time and like he was the protector but in reality the one protecting him and trying to watch over him was Mikasa. Eren wanted to act like he was all tough when in reality he wasn’t but everyone knew that he could be.

Mikasa also very much came off in the beginning of the 1st movie like the girl that needed to be protected.

She didn’t appear strong until you saw her in the military.

Now for the character that everyone knows and loves which is Levi. Well he is not in the movie. I’m not going to lie when I found this out I was shocked. Levi may not be my favorite character but even I know that here are many people who love Levi so to me it’s stupid why they wouldn’t include him in the movie.
The romance scenes in the movie also did not come off well. They were very very awkward. The romance scenes to be honest for me took away from the film and didn’t add to the story line in any way.
Overall though I did not enjoy the movie but I do plan to watch Part 2 just to see how the movie ends so look out for a part 2 of this review. Comment down below on whether or not you will see the live action Attack On Titan or if you have seen it let me know what you thought of it.

What Anime Would Make A Good Live Action Movie?

Published March 18, 2015 by Shay Taree

So I had this discussion with a few of my co workers concerning what anime’s would make a good live action movie. I know many people saw the disaster that was Dragon Ball Evolution

and then there was also the whole Ghost In The Shell live action that is planned.

But what other anime’s may possibly make a good live action

For me I told my co workers that honestly most shows would look good as a live action if the animated show itself didn’t have a lot of effects. Some effects can be done really well so I guess it mostly pertains to what studio does the live action. But any way I think the Rurouni Kenshin

makes a good live action, most of the shoujo anime’s that I’ve seen definitely like Wolf Girl & Black Prince

, and possibly even Yu Yu Hakusho.

Now I know that a lot of Japanese studios have made live actions of many of our favorite shows but what I’m talking about are American studios getting a hold of these shows and doing the live action. I say this because I’ve noticed that many American studios don’t seem to understand anime and end up doing it wrong or just kind of silly.
But what do you all think? What anime do you think an American studio can do well as a a live action. Leave your comments down below and let me know. Like always I will answer back.

Ghost In The Shell Live Action

Published October 18, 2014 by Shay Taree

So it seems that Hollywood is up to it again and trying to make an already wonderful anime/manga a live action feature. I’m not for sure how I feel about this. On one hand I want to see it but on another I’m skeptical about whether Hollywood will do Ghost In The Shell justice.

Now I haven’t exactly seen Ghost In The Shell (I know I’m a terrible fan) but I have heard a lot about this anime/manga. From what I’ve been reading it seems like they may want Scarlett Johansson to play the lead roll but it hasn’t been confirmed. It has only been offered to her with 10 million dollars being what they will pay her (yikes that’s a lot of money).

If they make this movie I’m interested in seeing if this one will actually be good considering that Hollywood is currently 0-2 for their live action adaptations of animes. I’m sure everyone remembers how horrible Dragonball was and even though again I didn’t see it but Avatar the last air bender was also one I heard wasn’t good. For me I knew it wasn’t going to be good after seeing the cast was all white while in the animated show they characters are anything but white. But that’s Hollywood for you.

So let me know what you all think of this? Leave your comments below and join in with the discussion.
