Dragon Ball Z Resurrection Of F Movie Review!

Published August 5, 2015 by Shay Taree

So just yesterday I went with a group of my friends to the premiere of Dragon Ball Z Resurrection Of F and it was amazing! I actually really enjoyed it and seeing it in a theatre jam packed with other Dragon Ball Z fans just made it that much better.
The basic plot of this movie is the Freeza has been brought back to life and wants revenge on Goku. This was a very clear plot and there was no deviating from that.

The characterization in the movie was amazing considering that a few characters were absent but I actually didn’t miss them and didn’t know they were missing until they were mentioned. Also not only that but when they were it turned into a joke which was really funny. Besides that all the characters were exactly how I remembered them in the show.

Now onto the music….and let’s just say that there was some I like and some I didn’t. I honestly didn’t really like the intro or ending song but the songs during the fight sequences was amazing and really fit the mood. It really had me rockin in my seat and wanting to see what happened next.

The animation of the show was also something I really enjoyed and actually payed attention too. Usually I don’t always pay attention to the art but this time for some reason it really sucked me in. I don’t know if it was because I saw it in a theatre but it was so crisp and amazing. I also didn’t even mind the CG that was put in during the fight scenes. That honestly reminded me of the Dragon Ball Z video games which I loved.

The movie went by super quick and it was really funny with all the one liners and of course the bickering between Vegeta and Goku. Also Beerus and Whis return in this film and are as enjoyable as ever.

Overall I give this film a 9/10! It was amazing and I definitely recommend that every Dragon Ball Z fan should at least check it out! I definitely plan to buy this when it comes out on DVD. So if you’ve seen this movie comment down below on what you thought of it and if you haven’t let me know what you thought of this review! Favorite Dragon Ball Z Movie Villain?

Published August 3, 2015 by Shay Taree

Since the new Dragon Ball Z movie is going to be released I thought that I would do a Dragon Ball Z related post. I know that many of us have a favorite character but do you have a favorite movie villain? There are many different Dragon Ball Z movies but which movie villain is your favorite?
I definitely have 2 favorites! My first one of Brolly

from the first legendary super saiyan movie. The other sequels were okay but the first one was definitely the best. The other villain I really liked was Beerus

from the battle of Gods movie. Beerus was just really funny and turned out to be a very likable villain.

But who is your favorite movie villain? Comment down below and let me know? I can’t wait to read your answers!

Weirdest Anime You’ve Ever Watched?

Published July 31, 2015 by Shay Taree

I think the weird anime I’ve ever watched is a tie between Aquarion

and Glass Fleet.

The plots of the show was interesting enough to keep me interested but once I got into the shows they got a little strange.

Now this isn’t to say I didn’t know what I was getting into since I had heard about the shows on YouTube via a few anime panels, but once I watched them wow! Glass Fleets weirdness mostly came from the tag line that the main character says which is “feel my wind”. Hehe I still find that line pretty funny!

Now when it came to Aquarion the weirdness was definitely lines that was said in the show but also some noises that was made in the show. Aquarion is a mech show and to fight 3 ships must merge to make the Aquarion and when they merge I’m guessing it’s an orgasmic reaction since the noises the characters make sound like that.

Once again I already knew this going into the show but still it was interesting to watch in real time.

So what’s the weirdest anime that you’ve watched? Comment down below and let me know. Also if you’ve seen the shows I’ve mention let me know what you thought of them.

Rockin Heaven Manga Review!

Published July 29, 2015 by Shay Taree

I haven’t done a manga review in a while so I decided it was about time I did another and plus I was in the mood for reading a good shoujo manga.
The manga I chose was called Rockin Heaven and here is the synopsis:

“Sawa applies to Heaven’s Wing Academy, thinking she would look cute in the uniform. But she never expected the academy to be a previously all-boys’ school! And the head honcho of the school, the class president himself doesn’t seem to like her one bit and takes no pains to hide it. At first, adjusting to life at the academy is tough. Sawa is bullied and teased, and the boys in the class even throw her new shoes in the water. While attempting to retrieve her shoes, she falls into the water and is unexpectedly saved by Ran, who up until this point has made her life hell. The newfound gentleness in Ran intrigues her, and she finds herself falling for him. What will her days be like for the rest of her school life?”

So I’m not going to lie it was your typical girl meets boy, boy meets girl, and drama happens which involves a lot of misunderstandings and love triangles. But still I could but have certain moments where I screamed in anguish off what happened or squealed with happiness when two characters kissed.

One of the things I really liked about this manga is that none of the characters were side characters. They each had their own thing going on which was interesting to see. Also they gave a breath of fresh air knowing that whole manga wasn’t going to be about the main characters love story but also other characters relationships as well. There was even some friendship drama thrown in which was also nice.

I also really liked how the manga didn’t end with just their graduation but it also gave an epilogue into their adult lives. That was really nice to see and was a great ending.

So if your looking for a shoujo manga that is kind of your typical shoujo manga but with a great cost of characters and other stories written in between then definitely check out Rockin Heaven!

So overall I gave this manga a 8/10. Comment down below on what you thought of this manga if you read it or what you thought of this review! Join in the conversation!

Fairy Tail 1st Movie Review!Β

Published July 24, 2015 by Shay Taree

So of course since I finally finished watching the 1st fairy tail series I had to watched the 1st movie too and I must say that I really liked it. Here’s the synopsis:
“The film revolves around a mysterious girl named Γ‰clair who appears before Fairy Tail, the world’s most notorious wizard’s guild. She lost all of her memories, except for the imperative that she must deliver two Phoenix Stones somewhere. The stones may spell the collapse of the magical world, and Natsu, Lucy, and the rest of the Fairy Tail guild are caught up in the intrigue. ”

At first when I started watching it wasn’t all that into it and guess that’s because it did start off kind of slow but once it got into more action and the back story I became very much more intrigued with the movie and into it.

The movie was very much Lucy

oriented since she definitely played a bigger role and the movie and I actually really liked that.

One of the other things that I like about this movie was that while there was a lot of action

I also really liked the emotional aspect of the movie. Especially since it got you more connected to Lucy and plus there was a really good NaLu moment for all the NaLu fans out there.

Overall though I gave this movie a 7/10. It was enjoyable once I got through the beginning of the movie and the emotional aspect and action was awesome. So check it out! Comment down below if you seen this movie and also let me know what you thought of this review!

New Fruits Basket Manga!!! πŸ˜„

Published July 22, 2015 by Shay Taree

Yes I know I squealed for joy too when I read this news as well. Now this new manga series is actually going to be a sequel to the original manga that ran from 1998-2006 but still I’m very excited for this.

The new manga is going to be titled Fruits Basket: Another and will take place in the same setting as the original but it will have a new female lead by the name of Sawa.

From the information that I’ve been able to gather Tohru, Kyo, and Yuki will not be in this series but they will be mentioned. As far as the other beloved characters in this series we will just have to see if they show up or are mentioned.

The manga is planned to start in September of 2015 and will only be about 2-3 volumes long. I can’t wait to read a translated version of this. I can’t help but have high expectations for this. But what do you think will happen in this new Fruits Basket manga and how do you feel about it? Comment down below I would love to know!

P.S. Yes I did change the name of my blog just to make everything under the same name. I’m so sorry if there was any confusion.

What If Certain Anime’s Were Restricted In Your Country?

Published July 15, 2015 by Shay Taree

So I though up this topic while having a Twitter conversation with an individual who is pretty upset that Viz does not show the original Sailor Moon in her country due to the fact that a streaming service isn’t able stream in that particular country.
Well this got me to thinking about what would you do if this was what was going on in your country. I guess what I would do is if I really loved this show I would try and watch it any way that I could. Even if it meant me not being able to use the most legal sites. This isn’t saying that I wouldn’t try and see what the deal was or sign petitions to get the show over but I also would really be all that upset about it since there are so many avenues that you could go through.

If you would like to read more about this particular subject and what country is involved and why just click here

So comment down below on what you would do in this situation and if you read the article let me know what you think about it. I can’t wait to read your comments so join in with the conversation.

Another Sunshine Award Nomination! Yay! πŸ˜†

Published July 10, 2015 by Shay Taree

Thank you Deniz for nominating me and please check out their blog!!!

Now to answer your questions:

1. Do you get anxious or discomforted if you don’t watch anime for some period of time? If yes how much time?

A. I wouldn’t say that I get anxious but I do miss it because anime for me is an escape from reality for just a short period of time. But everyday I do something anime related whether it’s reading a fanfic, reading manga, or writing on my Twitter.

2. What anime will you watch from Summer 15?

A. As of right now probably none but that’s only because I rarely watch series as they are airing and I always wait until they finish airing. So in the future yes but which ones I’m not sure yet.

3. Who is your favorite anime character, someone you relate yourself with?

A. My favorite anime character is definitely Usagi from Sailor Moon. This is because I love how she really cares about her friends and I love how brave she can be. She is someone that I hope to be.

4. Is there a seiyuu you personally follow?

A. Hmmmm not really to be honest.

5. Do you like watching anime openings and endings, are you watching both?

A. I will actually sit through the opening and endings a few times to see if I like the song and if I do I will watch it throughout the series and if I don’t then I will usually skip it.

6. Do you have a MyAnimeList account? How often and with which purposes do you use it?

A. Yes I do have a MyAnimeList account and I mostly use it for keeping track of the anime I watch or have seen. Before though I was more active in the MyAnimeList community.

7. What is your favorite anime genre?

A. My favorite anime genre has to be a tie between romance, comedy, and action.

8. Have you ever cosplayed before? If yes, where?

A. No I haven’t cosplayed although I’ve wanted to.

9. For manga adaptation anime, are you reading the manga because you just can’t wait for new episodes to come?

A. Most of the time I read the manga adaptation of an anime if I’ve heard the manga is very different or if the manga continues from where the anime left off.

10. Do you think you’ll watch anime 10 years from now?

A. Yes of course!!!

Now I nominate these 4 blogs for the sunshine award as well!

Krystallina
Madreceiver
Dandylion13
Mirrorpurple
I hope you all choose to accept and also answer these questions.

Uta No Prince Sama Maji Love Revolutions Anime Review!

Published July 8, 2015 by Shay Taree

So I just finished one of my favorite series Uta No Prince Sama Maji Love Revolutions. Now I’m not going to lie I like watching this series mostly for the music and of course the guys are hot! Haruka is sooooo lucky! I don’t know what I would do if I was in her position. But anyway on with the review.

So the main plot of this season is that Starish wants to be entered into a top level music contest but they have to impress Shining Saotome. So they are divided up into teams and Haruka in the meantime does some work with the group Quartet Night.

Of course since this anime does focus around music it was of course amazing! I loved the opening and ending song and I can’t wait to be able to download them. Also the other songs that were featured in the show were also amazing too!

Now besides the music the plot was actually pretty good especially since you got to learn more about Starish’s rival Quartet Night. Also there are hints at another season especially because of how this season ends and there is a surprise at the end of a previous rival returning hahaha.

So just as a fun question for those who have watched Uta No Prince Sama who would you want to see Haruka choose! My choices are either Otoya or Tokiya.

Overall though I have this show an 8/10. So comment down below what you thought of this show and also your answer to my question. I can’t wait to read them!
