So I’m not sure where this blog post is going to go because I’m literally just writing my thoughts and what’s going on in my head right now. Well the one thing that is going on in my head is youtube. As many of you know I’ve done youtube now for almost 5 years and I really do enjoy it. So don’t think that this is a post saying I’m quitting because I’m definitely not there yet. But I have been doing some thinking regarding my channel and the direction that I want it to go in. Also to be honest I’ve been dealing with comparing my channel to other channels.

Let’s be honest it can be really hard to do and while I try not to play the comparison game sometimes it just strikes without notice. I can’t help but look at the numbers on my channel and wonder what I can change or what isn’t working. Or figuring out what is it that my subscribers like to don’t like. I also kind of looked at what other anitubers were doing that I maybe wasn’t doing.

Well basically what I decided to do was to go back to doing more anime related content. I love making content about other nerdy topics but I realized that its gotten really all over the place. I also realized that there are a lot of things that I enjoy and want to make content around. For example I love self improvement and motivational topics but I realized that I think that content needs to be put somewhere. Like for example on my blog in a blog post. I know at one point I had a separate channel but that was too much. So I think my content on youtube is going to be basically all nerdy content. This also means that Nerd News may not be a thing anymore because I do enjoy doing that content but I feel like its gotten very comic/marvel focused and not a lot about anime. But that’s something I’m still figuring out.

Also yes I know my editing isn’t the greatest but I love the rough cut that my videos have so for now that isn’t going to change. Also please don’t think that I’m changing things to get famous or anything like that because that isn’t the case. I’m mostly making these changes because I know that I can do better and I know that there are times where everyone has to improve and see what is working and isn’t working.

So those are some updates that I have regarding my channel and just my overall feelings that I was struggling with. Also I’m not looking for sympathy I just like being honest with my subscribers and who that even I’m not the most positive person all the time and I’m still struggling with comparison like everyone else.
