Favorite Fairy Tail Couple

Published December 16, 2014 by Shay Taree

Now I know that the main 4 couples in Fairy Tail are Natsu and Lucy, Gray and Juvia, Erza and Jellal, and Levy and Gajeel.

Now I have a favorite out of those 4 and its Levy and Gajeel. I’m not for sure why but I think it’s because I love how completely opposite they are. Levy while of course she is strong she also has a slightly nerdy side to her since she loves to read. Not only that but she also has a slight innocence to her that I like.

Gajeel on the other hand is very tough and can be very stubborn. But to me he seems to have a softer side to him especially when it comes to Levy.

I’m just totally in love with this couple and I hope they get together by the end of the anime/manga. But what about you guys. Who is your favorite couple from Fairy Tail? It doesn’t have to be those couples that I mentioned it could even be a different one.

But anyway happy watching everyone!

Sailor Moon Crystal Episode 11 Review

Published December 9, 2014 by Shay Taree

So this weekend we were finally able to see a new episode of Sailor Moon Crystal and I enjoyed some aspects of this episode but there was also a few that I don’t enjoy.
IMG_8286.PNG
The main thing that I did like about this episode was finally being able to see Sailor Venus’s transformation. It was the one transformation that many of us haven’t had a chance to see. But that was probably the only thing that I liked about this episode.

IMG_8285.GIF
I was talking with one of my friends about this episode and we both couldn’t understand how Usagi didn’t get mad when her friends were all beaten up my Mamoru but when Luna got hurt she got angry. She should have gotten angry a lot sooner. Not only that but it took her so long to transform plus seeing the other transformation sequences just made everything really boring.

IMG_8284.PNG
The sad thing is that Queen Beryl is actually kind of likable in this series. Maybe it’s because she hasn’t been in the series all that much I’m not entirely sure. But overall it was actually good to see her appear.

I think overall this was probably my least favorite episode so far since not a lot happened. But overall at this point I’ve been kind of disappointed in this series. I was very excited for the new series but with the route that they chose I’m not really liking it. None of the Sailor Scouts have a personality so far where you you can choose which scout you like the most. They all are the same and the show doesn’t have that comedic flair like the original one did. I’m hoping that the rest of the series gets a lot better or if there is another season that it get a better upgrade as far as story line and character personalities are concerned.

So there is my review I hope that you all enjoyed it and once again leave you comments below because I love to hear what you all think.

Free Eternal Summer Review

Published November 25, 2014 by Shay Taree

So I just finished the 2nd season of Free with was titled Free Eternal Summer. I was definitely looking forward to watching the 2nd season of this show since I did honestly enjoyed the 1st season.

So the 2nd season had the same list of characters that was in the 1st season but they did introduce 2 substantial new characters to the series and that was Momotaro Mikoshiba who is the younger brother of Seijuurou Mikoshiba who if you remember is the captain of Sametsuka Academy. Momotaro was definitely some of the new comic relief for this series since he is really funny and he introduction into the show was one you can’t honestly forget.
IMG_8192.GIF
Another new character is Sousuke Yamazaki who is an old friend of Rin and actually swam with him when they were in middle school. He’s a little bit of a sullen character and I could help but not exactly like him due to the fact that he has a very strange and rude confrontation with Haruka. He also has an underlying issue that you will find out about in the later half of the series. But regardless he is also a very hot character like the rest of them.

IMG_8190.JPG
I know that one of the complaints that I heard a lot of during the 1st season of this show is that there wasn’t a lot of depth to the actual plot and many people found it to be kind of boring or that it mostly focused on how hot the guys were. But during the 2nd season I was very surprised with how emotional the season was.

IMG_8193.JPG
This season was very much about the boys futures and what they were going to do once high school was over. Which I can understand because many times you don’t know really what you want to do after high school. The person that seems to have the hardest time with it is Haruka since he only really wants to swim and that is what his entire focus is on.

IMG_8191.JPG
Towards the end of the series though you do see a change in Haruka’s attitude and he is more kept to himself and a lot more angry when people ask him about what is wrong or about his future. It seems to be something that he doesn’t want to discuss or think about even though he knows that he has too.

Once he figures out his decision thanks to Rin which is definitely a surprise he becomes a much happier guy. While before Haruka was a very kept to himself character and didn’t say a lot of words but after he realizes where he went wrong he starts to crack a few smiles and laugh freely. He also apologizes to the friends that he ended up hurting when he was in that terrible mood of his.

At the end of the series I also couldn’t help shedding a few tears since at the end of series Haruka, Makoto, and Rin were going on with their lives since they have now graduated. It was definitely an emotional ending to this series and I didn’t think I would cry.

But overall I really did enjoy the 2nd season a lot more then the 1st since the plot had some twist and turns that I didn’t see coming and also you got to see into the minds of the characters a lot more. So if you are on the fence about watching the 2nd season of Free I say you should definitely check it out because I was very surprised.

Bleach Anime Review!

Published November 20, 2014 by Shay Taree

So since the Bleach anime is now officially over I can finally do a review on it. I know that anime has actually been over for a few years but I was watching the Bleach anime dubbed which means it took a while for me to actually see it. So let’s get started on this review!

Synopsis: 15-year-old Kurosaki Ichigo is not your everyday high school student. He has from as far as he can remember always had the ability to see ghosts and spirits. A fateful day arrives as Ichigo encounters the shinigami Kuchiki Rukia, who saves him and his family from a Hollow at the cost of injuring herself. During the encounter, with Rukia unable to defeat the hollow she transfer her shinigami powers into Ichigo. In the aftermath, unable to continue with her job, Rukia allows Ichigo to take on the role of a shinigami in her place as they together defeat the Hollows plaguing Ichigo’s town.

Music: The music in this show was one word AMAZING!!!! I have so many of the Bleach openings and endings on my iPhone it’s crazy! The songs definitely get you in the mood to watch the show and many times the endings fit what exactly is going on during the current arc of the show. Even the music that was inserted into the show during fight scenes or emotional scenes made you feel what each character was feeling or made you energize for what was going to happen.

Story: Sooooo the story for Bleach was definitely a long one!!!! I love the concept of Bleach but I hated the filler arcs in the series. Okay I will admit that I did like a few of the filler arcs like the Zanpakuto arc. But I completely hated the bount arc. I found it very boring and couldn’t wait for it to be over. But overall it was a good story but it did have a tendency to drag itself out which got pretty boring and repetitive.

IMG_8156-0.JPG

Characters: I definitely loved a majority of the characters in this series! Each character had their own personality and you could definitely find people in your own life that could totally be a specific character. Also each character looked extremely different and had their own signature look. For example Ichigo had his orange and hair and Rukia had that one piece of hair that hung in front of her face. This is what made me like Bleach so much is because the characters were just so amazing and different.

Alright so that is my review on the Bleach anime. Yes I know the manga is still on going and I am currently still reading it. So when that decides to end I will be reviewing that as well. Happy watching!

Ao Haru Ride Review!

Published November 5, 2014 by Shay Taree

So I had originally really wanted to watch this anime when I happened to see a picture of a scene of this show and I was like what is this show??? I soon found out the title but I also found out that this show was still airing. So I waited until it was finished and then I watched it. So here is my review!

Music: The music of the show and I found it actually pretty amazing. The music is one of the first things I noticed about the show since before I even watched it I heard the opening theme song first and that’s what made me want to watch the show. The music the put in throughout the show also helped to move the story along and also help you to feel the emotion that the characters were feeling.

Art: Okay so the art it the show was actually pretty typical to what we see normally I animes but it definitely it had that drawn feel and not a CGI feeling which was really nice. There was no weird glitches that I could see concerning the art from what I could tell so overall that was really good.

Characters: Alright so the character development in the show was good because while not many of the characters changed the few that did change was very substantial. These two were definitely the 2 main characters in the anime which was Yoshioka and Tanaka. Yoshioka went from being the girl that was just trying to fit in to pretty just embracing who she was. Then there was Tanaka who was pretty much very cold and somewhat quiet to letting his guard down and actually showing a little bit more emotion.

Story: So the story of this show was actually pretty amazing!! The only downside of the story was that it didn’t end with any sort of big romance scene. I was waiting for it throughout the show and although there was a few where you thought it was going to happen but it was always interrupted which was cute but still frustrating. So I’m definitely going to have to read the manga so that I can find out what happens next. But here is the full synopsis: “Yoshioka Futaba has a few reasons why she wants to “reset” her image & life as a new high school student. Because she’s cute, she was ostracized by her female friends in junior high, and because of a misunderstanding, she couldn’t get her feeling across to the one boy she has ever liked, Tanaka-kun.

Now in high school, she is determined to be as unladylike as possible so that her friends won’t be jealous of her. While living her life this way contentedly, she meets Tanaka-kun again, but he now goes under the name of Mabuchi Kou. He tells her that he felt the same way as she did when they were younger, but now things can never be the same again. Will Futaba be able to continue her love that never even started from three years ago?”

Alright so I hope you all enjoyed this review so be sure to check out Ao Haru Ride if you find it interesting.

Sailor Venus Debut!

Published October 19, 2014 by Shay Taree

So episode 8 of Sailor Moon Crystal aired today and omg it was amazing!!!! Finally Sailor Venus speaks and all the inner Sailor Scouts are finally together again! (Happy dance starts now)

The only thing that I didn’t realize would happen while watching this weeks episode was that I got upset when all the scouts thought and when Venus said she was Princess Serenity. I don’t know if that happened to anyone else maybe it was just me but still it was weird.

So far I’ve found Sailor Venus a lot cooler in this series and not as air headed as she was in the previous one but who knows that may change. Also omg the kiss between Mamoru and Usagi! That was amazing I want to keep rewinding that part of the episode over and over again.

Plus Sailor Venus’s transformation sequence was amazing and I loved it! Definitely one of my favorites so far! But overall I loved this episode but I’m still upset about the cliff hanger! This definitely should have been a week where they showed 2 episodes. But at least the next episode is where Usagi finally shows she’s actually the princess and the rest of the scouts get their memories back! Can’t wait!!!!

SMC Episode 2 & 3 Review

Published August 5, 2014 by Shay Taree

So I forgot to review episode 2 of Sailor Moon Crystal due to going on vacation and now since I’ve watched episode 3 I’ve decided just to put both episodes together into one review.

Alright so in episode 2 we were introduced to Ami the insanely smart and adorable girl who would ultimately become Sailor Mercury. I loved this episode it was very similar to the manga and it a way the episode was also pretty sad. The only reason why I say the episode was sad was due to how people were talking about Ami.

Alright now the transformation sequence and attacks were utterly awesome!!!!!! I love Sailor Mercury’s transformation and how her attacks were animated. Definitely much better than the 90’s anime but that anime still definitely has a soft spot in my heart.

Now on to episode 3! Episode 3 was were we got to meet the mysterious and gorgeous Rei also known as Sailor Mars! She is utterly gorgeous and that is also why she is my favorite Sailor Scout besides Sailor Moon of course. But anyway the episode was very similar to the original episode that she was introduced in where a bus is mysteriously disappearing with it’s passengers near the temple grounds that she is the priestess at.

The biggest difference that I saw in this episode was that all the Shitennou were introduced and it was nice to see that Zoisite was male like he was supposed to be.

Once again though Sailor Mars transformation sequence and attacks were awesome and different from the original. Absolutely loved the episode and fell even more in love with the Sailor Mars character.

Oh yeah one last scene to being up is the bus scene between Mamoru and Usagi. That scene was just soooo cute and I can’t wait for there to be more subtle romantic scenes between them. Plus Mamoru is hot especially with his glasses on. Love his animation as well in Crystal compared to in the 90’s anime.

Also one thing that I have noticed is that all the characters faces are drawn very doll like which I love.

Alright so stay tuned for another review of episode 4 in a few weeks! 20140805-091334-33214164.jpg

Knights Of Sidonia Review!

Published July 28, 2014 by Shay Taree

Alright so a few days ago I got a chance to watch Knights Of Sidonia and it turned out to be a pretty good show.

The show started off with action right at the beginning and from then on I was kind of on the edge of my seat to know what was going to happen next. Here is the synopsis of the show:
“It’s been a thousand years since the Gauna, a strange alien race with no known method of communication, destroyed the solar system. A portion of humanity managed to escape using enormous “seed ships” like the Sidonia, which have allowed them to maintain the population while drifting through space. Nagate Tanikaze is a young man who has been raised deep in the bowels of the ship. When he goes into training to pilot the huge robotic weapons known as Gardes, Nagate is entrusted with piloting the legendary unit known as Tsugumori. Nagate and his fellow pilots put their lives on the line against the Gauna, in the ultimate battle for the survival of humanity!”

It took me a while to get used to the animation of the show but after awhile I was able to look past that and just enjoy the plot of the show.

I also enjoyed the opening song. It started off slow but then picked in the middle which was great.

Also if you like Johnny Yong Bosh who also voices Ichigo in the Bleach dub then definitely watch since he voices the main character in this show as well.

I also read that a season 2 is in the works and I definitely can’t wait for it to be released so that I can know what happens next.

Also as a bit of warning there are a few weird/awkward moments in this show. Nothing terrible but enough to make you blush (hehe). But otherwise please watch this show and give it a chance. If you do decide to watch it the show is available to stream on Netflix.20140728-110112-39672908.jpg

Sailor Moon Crystal 1st Episode Review

Published July 5, 2014 by Shay Taree

Alright so I just for done watching the 1st episode of the new Sailor Moon Crystal and I really enjoyed it! I felt like I was that little girl again watching Sailor Moon for the first time. But it didn’t have me feeling like I was watching a little kid show which was a good thing.

The art in the show was amazing to me and I loved the revamped look of the new characters. I’m pretty used to the older style of the old anime but the new one have it a fresh feel.

I also loved how Usagi is just as clumsy in this one as she was in the old one and there was quite a few moments where I was laughing out loud and putting myself in her shoes like when she fell down the stairs. I’ve definitely done that before.

Overall I loved the first episode and can’t wait until the next one and when more of the Sailor Scouts starts to appear.
