Kuroko’s Basketball Episode 6 Review

Published February 18, 2015 by Shay Taree

So another new episode of season 3 of Kuroko’s Basketball has aired and I’m not going to lie but I wasn’t as into this episode as I thought I was.

The episode started off and continued with the match between Akashi and Midorima. Midorima and his team was definitely trying as much as they could to get around Akashi’s emperor eye. But it wasn’t working. At one point Akashi even scores in his own teams goal. Now I guess that was to make a point that no matter how hard you try and even if I score in my own goal you and your team won’t win.

IMG_8822
Akashi was definitely right about that because when Midorima went up against Akashi all that ended up happening is Midorima fell down to the ground due to the weight of the emperor eye and Akashi ended up scoring to end the game. Akashi is definitely someone to look out for.

I can’t wait for the next episode because I really want to get to the match between Akashi, Kuroko, and Kagami.

So what do everyone else think of this episode. Leave your comments below to let me know.

Kuroko’s Basketball Episode 5 Review!

Published February 11, 2015 by Shay Taree

So this past Sunday a new episode of season 3 of Kuroko’s Basketball aired and boy was it a good episode.

This episode actually went more in depth with the skills that Akashi has and his emperor eye.

IMG_8779
Which is a neat trick by the way. But the episode starts off again with the start of the match with Midorima shorting those epic three pointers of his and they end up with the score being tied by halftime. But once it’s halftime that’s when Midorima and all of the rest of the generation of miracles know that things are going to change.

Midorima knows that after halftime is when Akashi is most likely to use his emperor eye and sure enough he does.

IMG_8784
You get to see Akashi’s emperor eye in full force even against those who aren’t playing.

IMG_8781
For example when it came to Kagami, Akashi was able to bring Kagami to the ground with just a look.

IMG_8783
Also when the games starts up again Midorima and his team are no longer able to keep the tie score and Akashi’s team starts to pull ahead.

IMG_8782
That’s when you as a viewer know that things aren’t going to end well and you hear Murasakibara explain just how Akashi’s Emperor Eye works.

All I can say is that even though I know what is going to happen I can’t help but be even more excited to see the next episode. I’m so happy that this season we get to know more about Akashi and his relationship with the Generation Of Miracles and how they all got together.

But what do you guys think of this episode and what do you think of Akashi’s emperor eye. Leave your comments below and like always I will always answer back.

Sailor Moon Crystal Episode 15 Review

Published February 9, 2015 by Shay Taree

So this week after for quite a bit of time we finally got a new Sailor Moon Crystal episode and was it an episode. I was so excited to see this episode since we finally got introduced to Chibiusa and it’s the start of the Black Moon Arc.

IMG_8772
The episode started off just like how the past episode ended with Chibiusa falling from the sky,

IMG_8767
pointing a gun at Usagi, and demanding the Legendary Silver Crystal.

IMG_8768
The gun of course is fake and she doesn’t get the Crystal. Instead she runs off and and becomes attached to Mamoru.

Just like in the last series Chibiusa tricks Usagi’s family into letting her stay with them by hypnotizing them.

IMG_8771
Later on in the series when end up meeting Prince Demande, Crimson Rubeus, and the Specter Sisters.

IMG_8769
After that we cut back to the Sailor Scouts where Rei is helping out at her school’s fair by being a fortune teller but it’s interrupter when one of the Specter Sisters Koan is also posing as a fortune teller but saying really horrible things of course to the students.

Rei goes to investigate and when things start getting pretty crazy the rest of he scouts show up to help. But oh no Rei ends up getting captured and even though Usagi and Mamoru try using the new Moon Rod that they got it doesn’t completely work. It gets rid of Koan but what Rei is trapped in remains and ultimately Rei is taken by Rubeus.

This episode was actually really good and I can’t wait for the next one. I think I’m going to like this arc more than the last one and I can tell that they are incorporating the different personalities of the scouts more.

Alright there is my review and let me know what you thought of this weeks episode. Also as you can see I did post on a Monday and my new postings days are going to be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday! So watch for posts on those days!

Kuroko’s Basketball Episode 4 Review

Published February 3, 2015 by Shay Taree

While everyone was getting ready for the Super Bowl and seeing the Patriots and Seahawks play I was getting my anime watching in. I mean hey I was off of work so I was trying to catch up on it. So of course I started off with this weeks new episode of Kuroko’s Basketball. So let’s get started!

So this weeks episode started off with some humor with Kagami waking up beside Alex his mentor who did I mention was naked in his bed. No they didn’t do that but it was very funny to see Kagami’s reaction to it all. Even though this is a sports anime it feels nice when there are humor moments that have nothing to do with the sport involved.

The humor in the beginning continues with Kagami and Kuroko getting yelled at by Riko because their shoes are torn to pieces and they have to go shopping for new ones. More hilarity ensues when Kagami can’t find his size and has to borrow shoes from Aomine.

After this the shows get back to being rather serious and with action with the start of the finals where it’s Akashi vs Midorima.

IMG_8716
Now this is where we catch the first glimpse of just how Akashi is and exactly what kinds of powers his possess. Just like one of the players on Shutoku said everyone on that team was in uniform and followed everything that Akashi said which was strange since he is only a first year.

But anyway right out of the gate it started off with Midorima shooting those amazing shots of his (man I wish I could shoot like him).

IMG_8717
But Akashi didn’t seem phased by it so that means that there is more that’s going to happen in the coming episodes. I just can’t wait!

So look forward to my next post on episode 5 and don’t forget I post on here every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday!

Wolf Girl And Black Prince Anime Review

Published January 29, 2015 by Shay Taree

I’ve finally gotten a chance to watch an anime that I had been wanting to watch since I heard about it and that’s Wolf Girl and Black Prince. I had heard about this anime via Crunchyroll and also via an anime social media app that I frequent on called Anime Amino.

Like usual I waited until the anime was done airing before I watched it so that I could marathon it and wow was it worth the wait.

I immediately got hooked on the anime just by the opening song alone but then once it started with the main character Erika being a perpetual liar so that she can be welcomed by new friends by making up that she has a boyfriend. At first they believe her but after seeing no proof they start to think she is lying (which she is). Erika then takes a picture of random boy just to say that she has a picture but it turns out to be the most popular boy in school Kyoya Sata.

IMG_8682
To keep up the lie Kyoya pretends to be her boyfriend but treats her like a dog (literally) since he isn’t as sweet as he looks.

Pretty much after seeing all this happen after the first or second episode I was like I have to see more!!!! “o(*^▽^*)o” The anime then takes you through Erika and Kyoya’s relationship as they go from pretend boyfriend and girlfriend to actual boyfriend and girlfriend.

IMG_8683 Awww so sweet!!! ♡(๑′ᴗ‵๑)♡
As far as the characters go I actually really liked the female lead Erika because to me she acted like many want to act. Especially when it came to doing couple things because I’m sure that every girl pictures doing all the cliche things with whomever they like or are with at the time.

As for Kyoya, well I of course liked him because hey he is a very cute guy but throughout the series I would like and dislike him during certain parts. But hey I’m guess that’s what the producers wanted you to feel.

One part in particular is what I like to call the infamous water scene with Erika and Kyoya when he basically played a joke on her by pretending that he actually had mural feelings for her.

IMG_8684
At first it for my hopes up but once I realized that he was joking I immediately didn’t like him and was happy when Erika threw her glass of water on him. To me that was what he deserved and I could tell from the look on his face that he was shocked that she did that.

Now I can’t forget the music in the show which was amazing. My favorite some though in the series was of course the opening. It’s call Love Good Time and I was hooked onto the beat by the first episode. Even now I still play that song all the time on my phone and it’s one opening that I never skipped and would just let play for every episode.

So if you like shoujo anime’s and anime’s that put on an emotional roller coaster in some parts then you will definitely enjoy Wolf girl and Black Prince. You can watch it on Crunchyroll and the show is about 12 episodes so it’s pretty short. Also there is manga that is currently still on going and I plan to read it just to see what happens next.

Kuroko’s Basketball Episode 3 Review!

Published January 27, 2015 by Shay Taree

Alright so this past Sunday episode 3 of the 3rd season of Kuroko’s basketball aired and this episode was action from beginning to end.

Not only did you get to see the conclusion of the match but you also got to see more of the background story concerning Haizaki and his history with the Generation Of Miracles.

IMG_8667
The episode of course starts off where it left of with Kise facing Haizaki. It was learned in the previous episode that Haizaki pillages other players moves which leaves the player unable to perform that move anymore. This throw a Kise for a loop because he copies moves and like Aomine says he only has a small pool to choose from. This causes Kise to get a little well let’s just say that Kise wasn’t himself.

Then in a flashback you see why Haizaki doesn’t like the Generation Of Miracles based off a street ball match that he played in the gentleman he played ends up saying something along the lines with he is as good as the Generation Of Miracles. This of course makes Haizaki mad.

In another flashback it shows Akashi telling Hazaki he needs to quit and then after shows Kuroko speaking to Haizaki. Haizaki is standing in front of what looks like a furnace and contemplating throwing his shoes in which he ultimately does.

IMG_8668
Once it restarts back to the match Kuroko ends up standing up and tell Kise that he can do it which causes Kise to jump into gear and start using moves from the Generation Of Miracles which is amazing!

IMG_8663
Of course the episode ends with Kise’s team winning and then now the final four have been announced! So let the finals begin!

Overall I loved this episode! Kise has to be one of my favorite Generation Of Miracles so being able to see him show off his copying skills was one of my favorite parts.

So if you haven’t checked out Kuroko’s Basketball yet you definitely should its a good anime that will have you wanting to play basketball.

Kuroko’s Basketball Season 3 First Impressions

Published January 22, 2015 by Shay Taree

So as I’m sure many of you know the third season of Kuroko’s Basketball has started airing. The 2nd episode has already aired so here is my first impressions.

First of all I love the music! For the past 2 seasons of this anime I’ve been in love with both the opening and ending song and the third season has been no different. Also the art of this show is still as amazing as the others. The colors are vibrant and the animation is awesome.

2015/01/img_8615.jpg
Now I’ve already finished the manga for this series so I know how it is going to end and so far it has definitely been following the manga pretty closely. Not only that but it feels so good to finally see all the basketball moves that had been in the manga animated.

2015/01/img_8614.png
So I honestly have to say that you should definitely check out season 3 of Kuroko’s Basketball and if you haven’t seen the anime at all yet then definitely check out the first season. It’s an amazing sports anime that you wouldn’t want to miss.

Let me know what you think of this new season of Kuroko’s Basketball below!

Sailor Moon Crystal Episode 14 Review!

Published January 20, 2015 by Shay Taree

So this week ended arc 1 of Sailor Moon Crystal and I can honestly say that it was a really exciting episode.

2015/01/img_8598.jpg
It started off with the Usagi and Mamoru trying to defeat Metalia and and they finally do end up defeating her due to the Sailor Scouts in their fallen state using planet power to help her as well as Luna praying.

2015/01/img_8594.jpg

2015/01/img_8596-0.gif
Queen Metalia is finally defeated by Usagi using the Silver Crystal but it ends with Usagi passing out and almost dying until she is saved by a kiss from Mamoru. This part made me actually remember the ending in one of my favorite Sailor Moon Movies.

But after Usagi is awaken she actually shows concerns for her fallen teammates with I liked and we also get to see Mamoru’s powers besides just that he can throw a mean rose when needed.

Once Usagi finds out about the scouts she is very upset but is then summoned to the moon kingdom where it had been restored and she ends up getting a new broach which she uses to heal the Earth.

2015/01/img_8595-0.jpg

2015/01/img_8597.png
Once she heals the Earth she immediately begins looking for her friends and once she finds them they have an emotional moment and life seems to go on like normal. Until a little girl falls from the sky and then things become interesting again.

2015/01/img_8593.jpg
Overall I really liked this episode since it did have a lot of action and Usagi really changed throughout the course of this episode. Plus I can’t wait to see more of Chibiusa! But what do you all think of the episode? Comment below and let me know!

Sailor Moon Crystal Episode 13 Review

Published January 6, 2015 by Shay Taree

So this week a new episode of Sailor Moon Crystal was released and I can actually say that this episode was one that I actually enjoyed! This episode was very nostalgic to me because I still remember watching the final episode and actually crying.

But anyway the episode started off where it left off in the last episode with Usagi stabbing herself. After that the scouts appear and are obviously distraught over what has happened to Usagi and Endymion. After that Queen Metalia absorbs Endymion and Usagi which causes Luna to try and attack Metalia to get them back.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/58f/63247334/files/2015/01/img_8407.png
Luna ends up getting defeated and remembers Queen Serenity and how she wanted her to protect Usagi. Which causes her to get sad and feel that she has failed.

After that Luna asks Artemis to take her to the moon and they disappear but the other scouts don’t count themselves out yet and try their best to get Usagi and Endymion back and they do. After which Usagi and Endymion try to fight Metalia which is where the episode ends.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/58f/63247334/files/2015/01/img_8406.jpg
I honestly can’t wait for the next episode to see what happens. So happy watching!

Monthly Girls Nozaki Kun Review

Published December 23, 2014 by Shay Taree

Alright so I had started watching Monthly Girls Nozaki Kun after reading the synopsis of it and I found it to be pretty interesting. Well I’m sorry to say that I didn’t find it very interesting. It’s not very often that I don’t finish an anime but this was one of those times.

At first I found the anime to fairly sweet with the main female Chiyo being very cute but also really funny and the main male lead Nozaki being the oblivious male he is and not noticing Chiyo. But Nozaki is pretty focus on his career of writing shoujo manga and plus Chiyo didn’t exactly phrase her confession correctly when she did by saying she was a fan of his instead of saying she had feelings for him.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/58f/63247334/files/2014/12/img_8339.jpg
Now while you could tell that Chiyo had feelings for Nozaki it just seemed like there wasn’t a lot of romance going on in this anime. I was anticipating for it to happen at least a little bit but after being more than halfway through I just completely gave up. Not only that but I found the story line hard to follow and at times not understanding what was going on at all or the plot of the story.

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/58f/63247334/files/2014/12/img_8340.gif
Now I know many people have enjoyed this anime and while I didn’t I may give the manga a chance to see if that is possibly better than the anime. So anyway if any of you have watched this anime then let me know your opinions of it and if I should give it another chance. For those of you who have read or are reading the manga let me know if it’s worth reading and better than the anime. Well that’s it for now so enjoy and happy watching.
