Fairy Tail 1st Movie Review!

Published July 24, 2015 by Shay Taree

So of course since I finally finished watching the 1st fairy tail series I had to watched the 1st movie too and I must say that I really liked it. Here’s the synopsis:
“The film revolves around a mysterious girl named Éclair who appears before Fairy Tail, the world’s most notorious wizard’s guild. She lost all of her memories, except for the imperative that she must deliver two Phoenix Stones somewhere. The stones may spell the collapse of the magical world, and Natsu, Lucy, and the rest of the Fairy Tail guild are caught up in the intrigue. ”

At first when I started watching it wasn’t all that into it and guess that’s because it did start off kind of slow but once it got into more action and the back story I became very much more intrigued with the movie and into it.

The movie was very much Lucy

oriented since she definitely played a bigger role and the movie and I actually really liked that.

One of the other things that I like about this movie was that while there was a lot of action

I also really liked the emotional aspect of the movie. Especially since it got you more connected to Lucy and plus there was a really good NaLu moment for all the NaLu fans out there.

Overall though I gave this movie a 7/10. It was enjoyable once I got through the beginning of the movie and the emotional aspect and action was awesome. So check it out! Comment down below if you seen this movie and also let me know what you thought of this review!

Fairy Tail 1st Series Anime Review

Published July 20, 2015 by Shay Taree

Okay I know that I am quite late when it comes to finishing this series but what can I say I had been watching dub and didn’t want to have to watch the series subbed.
But anyway for those of you who have not seen or Fairy Tail series or know what it’s about here is the synopsis:

“Set in an imaginary world, the Earth Land, there exists a Mage Guild called “Fairy Tail.” Fairy Tail is stationed in the town Magnolia, residing in the Kingdom of Fiore, and is currently governed by Makarov, Guild’s master.

Lucy Heartfilia, a 17-year-old girl, wishes to become a full-fledged mage and join one of the most prestigious Mage Guilds in the world, Fairy Tail.

One day, out of pure coincidence, she meets Natsu Dragneel, a boy who is transportation-sick, but very cheerful in nature. However, the thing she does not know is that Natsu is the closest connection to Fairy Tail, as he is a Mage in Fairy Tail.”

This show was actually really fun to watch! Even though when it comes to long shows there were of course a few filler episodes but they honestly weren’t that bad. They actually were pretty entertaining and quite funny!

Now as far as characters are concerned you have Lucy and Natsu who are easily the 2 main characters oh and I also can’t forget Natsu’s cat Happy! Now as far as Lucy is concerned I actually really like her. She definitely isn’t the strongest but during a few fights in the series she can totally hold her own.

Now Natsu is definitely the hot head in the group and is the first one to go into a fight but that’s what makes him Natsu and makes him very funny!

There are definitely a crazy host of characters in this show and I totally can’t name them all but they all have distinct personalities that make them a wonderful addition to the show.

The music of this show was amazing and there are several openings and endings that I ended up having to download because they were so good.

The only downside to this series was some of the fillers and also the same old same old when it comes to battles. One this I will say is that they ended the first series really well with a completion of a battle but also with some intrigue as to what is going to happen next.

Overall I give The 1st Fairy Tail series a 7/10. It was definitely excited with a few lulls here and there! But for those of you who have watched Fairy Tail or are currently watching it, what did you think of it? Next I’m going to watch the Fairy Tail movie so expect a review on that soon!

Uta No Prince Sama Maji Love Revolutions Anime Review!

Published July 8, 2015 by Shay Taree

So I just finished one of my favorite series Uta No Prince Sama Maji Love Revolutions. Now I’m not going to lie I like watching this series mostly for the music and of course the guys are hot! Haruka is sooooo lucky! I don’t know what I would do if I was in her position. But anyway on with the review.

So the main plot of this season is that Starish wants to be entered into a top level music contest but they have to impress Shining Saotome. So they are divided up into teams and Haruka in the meantime does some work with the group Quartet Night.

Of course since this anime does focus around music it was of course amazing! I loved the opening and ending song and I can’t wait to be able to download them. Also the other songs that were featured in the show were also amazing too!

Now besides the music the plot was actually pretty good especially since you got to learn more about Starish’s rival Quartet Night. Also there are hints at another season especially because of how this season ends and there is a surprise at the end of a previous rival returning hahaha.

So just as a fun question for those who have watched Uta No Prince Sama who would you want to see Haruka choose! My choices are either Otoya or Tokiya.

Overall though I have this show an 8/10. So comment down below what you thought of this show and also your answer to my question. I can’t wait to read them!

Psycho Pass Anime Review!

Published June 19, 2015 by Shay Taree

Alright so after so long it seems I’ve finally finished Psycho Pass and let me say it was definitely a roller coaster ride of a show. I can also see why a lot of people have enjoyed watching this show.

Here is the synopsis of Psycho Pass:

“The series takes place in the near future, when it is possible to instantaneously measure and quantify a person’s state of mind and personality. This information is recorded and processed, and the term “Psycho-Pass” refers to a standard used to measure an individual’s being. The story centers around the “enforcement officer” Shinya Kougami, who is tasked with managing crime in such a world.

In the future, it is possible to quantitatively measure a person’s emotions, desires, and every inclination. In this way, it is also possible to measure a person’s criminal tendency factor, which is used to judge criminals.

This is the story of a team of policemen dedicated to maintaining public order. Some of them work in the Enforcement Division, responsible for the apprehension of criminals, while others belong to the Supervisory Division which oversees their colleagues in Enforcement.”

I’m not going to sugar coat it but there was parts of the show during the middle that got kind of slow and a tad boring. But towards the end with the main villain that really made me sit up and pay attention.

Now that isn’t to say there isn’t any twist and turns during the series because trust me there are. There were definitely a few moments where I was like WTF just happened. Also similar (at least to me) to Akame Ga Kill try not to get attached to a few of the characters.

Now the main female lead Akane

definitely at the beginning got on my nerves with how naive she was but it did make sense since she was the new kid on the team. But towards the end of the series she got really tough and became one of my favorite characters with how her mind works and how smart she is. Also I’m sorry to say this because I know he show wasn’t geared towards romance but I really wanted Akane and Kogami to get together.

Sorry but I couldn’t help it hehe.

Now for the other main character Kogami.

Well let’s just say that not only is he hot but he is also very smart and there are underlying things with him that you’ll definitely be surprised to find out.

Also just as a last thought the music in the show is amazing! The last ending theme All Alone With You by Egoist is just amazing. I listened to it every time and never skipez over it.

But overall I give this anime a 8/10. The music was amazing and the character development of not only the lead but almost all of the characters in the show was great to see as well. Definitely stick with it if you hit the lull like I did because you won’t be disappointed. Plus there is a sequel that I can’t wait to watch. So comment down below on what you thought of the show. I would love to know!

Love Live! School Idol Project Season 1 Review!

Published May 22, 2015 by Shay Taree

Yay so after so many weeks I have finally finished the first season of Love Live! School Idol Project! I must say that it was a pretty enjoyable series although at times I did get a bit bored.

The story is pretty much about a group of girls that are trying to save their school from closing by making a school idol group which is what is popular at the moment. The season then shows the ups and downs of the group as well as the adding of new members.

The songs were pretty catchy and very enjoyable. There were times when I wanted to skip the intro but I honestly couldn’t once the music started.

The only downside to this show that I found was that there was drama but it’s wasn’t anything that made me gasp or be anxious about until the end. Towards the end the drama got very real and that was when I was anxious but I just hated that it seemed so short. It was only about 2 episodes long that that drama lasted and it was resolved very quickly.

I loved the different cast of characters that were introduced and their different personalities definitely made the show. If your watching it with a group of friends you can definitely choose who would be which character.

The jury is still out on whether or not to watch the 2nd season but overall I give this show a 6/10. It had its great moments especially with the songs but it didn’t hold my interest during some parts.

If you’ve watched this show let me know what you thought of it by commenting down below. Also let me know how you liked this review!

Sailor Moon Crystal Episode 21 Review!

Published May 5, 2015 by Shay Taree
I can’t believe that we are already on episode 21 of Sailor Moon Crystal and this weeks episode gave us quite a bit of back story on both the Black Moon Kingdom and on Chibi-Usa.
The episode starts off with the kidnapping of Usagi by Prince Demande and her waking up in their hideout.

There Prince Demande explains how he and his allies discovered Nemesis and why they are using the power of the Black Crystal. The he kisses Usagi which was just so wrong.

Back with our heroes they are trying to figure out how best to rescue Usagi and Chibi-Usa’s past is revealed. She can’t use the Legendary Silver Crystal and she is 900 years old! What!!!! But Chibi-Usa also explains why she took to the Crystal and it was because she was being bullied. She also believes that all of this is her fault because she took the Crystal.

Also in this episode we catch a small glimpse of the rest of the kidnapped Sailor Scouts. Which I absolutely loved and I hope they are back for more in the next episode. Also since the episode ended with Chibi-Usa being influenced by Wiseman I can sense that Black Lady is going to be making an appearance soon.

I give this weeks episode a 8/10 mostly due to the backstory that was explained in this weeks episode. There wasn’t a lot of action but I still enjoyed it and I definitely look forward to the next episode. But what did everyone else think of this episode? Comment below and let me know!

Marmalade Boy Anime Review! ❤️

Published April 28, 2015 by Shay Taree
So I’m still in the middle of watching the anime Love Live! School Idol Project but I wanted to do a review on this anime because I’ve been thinking about it for a while.
I had watched Marmalade Boy a few years ago and it was an amazing show that had an interesting concept. Here is the synopsis:
Miki Koishikawa lived a normal life – until her parents tell her they’ll get divorced.. She doesn’t agree, until she meets Yuu Matsuura… the handsome son of another couple, with whom her parents are switching spouses.

They all live together now in an enormous house, and Miki and Yuu find themselves falling in love. They’ll have to struggle with their own feelings, other people who want to be with them, and whatever Lady Luck and Fate throws in their ways…”

Now I’m not going to lie the concept was weird considering the whole parents thing but I’m a sucker for romance so I wanted to see how it would turn out.

So if your a sucker for romance like myself then you will like this show because there are quite a few romantic scenes! But of course with romance there also comes drama so watch out for that too.

The drama pretty much is the typical drama that you find in shoutout anime’s but that doesn’t make it any less exciting. So check out Marmalade Boy because it is a neat gem of an anime to watch since it is an older anime that it seems many people may not have watched.

Overall I gave Marmalade Boy a 9/10! But if you have seen this show let me know what you thought of it! Comment down below and I will answer back!

Sailor Moon Crystal Episode 20 Review

Published April 20, 2015 by Shay Taree
So this week we were graced with a brand new episode of Sailor Moon Crystal! This wasn’t my favorite episode but it was definitely my favorite part of the series.
The episode started back off with a little bit of a recap as far as to how they got to 30th century Tokyo and the appearance of Chibiusa’s dad.

Then he dropped the bomb on Usagi and Mamoru by telling them that he is Mamoru in the future, Neo Queen Serenity is future Usagi, and Chibiusa is their daughter.
Let just say they were shocked and their faces were hilarious. Oh and don’t let me forget that you also met Diana the daughter of Artemis and Luna. The look on their faces was also funny.

Now I hate to say it but after that I didn’t really pay attention to the rest of the episode. Well I did but it wasn’t all that exciting to me until Prince Demande captured Usagi. That is also where the episode ends. I can’t wait for the next one to see how everyone handles that.

Overall I give this episode a 7/10 only because of the exciting part in the beginning but then after that I lost interest. So comment down below what you thought of this weeks episode or this review! I will always answer back!

Paradise Kiss Anime Review

Published April 15, 2015 by Shay Taree
Yay!!! I finally got around to watching an anime that I have been meaning to watch for a while now and that’s Paradise Kiss. I had first heard about Paradise Kiss while looking for a good romance anime to watch but I wasn’t able to find a good website to watch it on. But finally I was able to and it was worth the wait. Also just to let you know there will be a few spoilers so if you don’t want to know about it then you may not want to read this review.
Here is the synopsis:
Yukari is a typical high-school student who listens to her parents and attends school everyday. As she starts to question her way of life, she encounters a group of fashion design students who have a clothing label known as “Paradise Kiss”. The group needs to find a model to showcase their designs in an up-coming fashion show and decides to pick Yukari. Initially, Yukari is reluctant to be associated with this seemingly eccentric group, but eventually she realises they are really nice people. Furthermore, their passion and enthusiasm to follow their ideals and dreams make Yukari realise that she has not been enjoying her life and thus motivates her to pursue her own dreams. The story follows Yukari as she gets involved in the group and eventually falls in love with the leader, George.”

While Paradise Kiss may seem like your run of the mill romance anime it actually goes a lot deeper than that. It’s a good coming to age anime to show how many high schoolers may feel when they aren’t for sure where their life is supposed to go next or if they are just doing what they are doing because of their parents. I definitely felt that way while in high school and I feel that way now and I’m an adult.
Also the romance with Yukari and George while it does happen fast it still gets you excited as a viewer as to what will happen next with them. George is a strange character because he is very mellow toned and your not for sure where he is coming from at times. At one point he has completely fallen for Yukari and in another scene he is not sure about her. It keeps you on your toes since there are many times during the series that I thought they were going to break up.
Paradise Kiss also had the perfect mix of characters where they were very comedic but it didn’t take away from the drama or romance in the show. It made it much more light hearted and I looked forward to those moments.

The music in the show was also amazing! I loved the opening song! It had a nice beat to it that made me not mind listening to it for 12 episodes.
Now the most surprising thing about Paradise Kiss had to be the ending. The two main characters Yukari and George who are the main couple in the show don’t end up together at the end. Due to certain circumstances they end up going their separate ways and at first I didn’t like this since I invested 12 episodes into this couple but then once I thought about it, I realized that I was glad that they didn’t end up together. George taught Yukari a lot about herself and what she wanted to do with her life and I think that is what he was there to do. There is no denying that they loved each other but they weren’t meant to stay together.

Now I did watch Paradise Kiss dubbed and it was good! The voices to me worked well with the characters. Also the show is rated R 17+ due to profanity and there is a few sex scenes but nothing raunchy so don’t worry but if your someone that doesn’t like that kind of thing then you may want to skip this show.
But overall I give this show an 9.5/10. Paradise Kiss wasn’t your regular shoujo anime and it made me think about when I was in high school. So check out Paradise Kiss if you haven’t already. So comment down below what you thought of this review or let me know what you thought of this show. Like always I will answer back.

Good Luck Girl Anime Review

Published April 8, 2015 by Shay Taree

So I was in the mood to watch a funny anime and I was recommended the anime Binbougami Gai also called Good Luck Girl! This anime was definitely what I was looking for in a funny anime.

Here is the synopsis:
“At the expense of the people and things around her, Sakura has absorbed so much “happiness energy” that she has caused an energy imbalance in the world. In order to return balance to the world, the Poverty God, Momiji, sets out to take away Sakura’s ability to absorb this energy. Will Momiji be able to put a stop to Sakura’s absorbing abilities, or will the God succumb to her happiness?”

This show has so many different anime references so try and count how many you can find.

I know that when many people think of a funny anime they are hoping to get at least a few chuckles out of it but actually I was laughing out loud. ALOT!
The main character Ichiko Sakura while at times can be very sweet she can actually be a little devil.

She is constantly causing havoc and can be a bit selfish but there are several times during the series that she becomes self less and worried about others.
Then there is the poverty God Momiji Binboda.

Now she was hilarious and constantly caused a great amount of grief for Ichiko. She was always trying to find a way to get on Ichiko’s nerves or make fun of her. Although during the series there were moments when she seemed to really care about Ichiko and actually gave her some good advice.
Now I did watch this show dubbed and it was dubbed by Funimation but they did a really good job. The voices matched the characters and it was great to watch the action of the show without trying to read the subtitles.
Now there is a little bit of bad language and a few scenes that can be kind of sketchy so if you aren’t one for profanity or fan service then this is not the show for you. But if you don’t mind this kind thing then by all means watch the show and enjoy.
So overall I give this show a 8/10. This show was really funny and the serious parts of the show actually were good when I needed a break from the comedy. Like always comment down below what you thought of this review or show and I will comment back.
