SacAnime Weekend Experience!

Published September 6, 2016 by Shay Taree

So as many of you may or may not know I went to SacAnime this weekend for my birthday and it was so much fun!!! I meant one of the voice actors that I have really been wanting to meet, bought lots of stuff, and of course I saw some amazing cosplays!
The SacAnime convention was Friday-Sunday and consisted of panels, dance workshops, a venders hall, autograph sessions and much more. Here is a picture of one of the amazing cosplays that I saw from the anime Kabaneri Of The Iron Fortress.

This cosplay was amazing and also there was no one else I saw dressed as these characters.

I also got a chance to meet one of my favorite Voice Actors J. Michael Tatum

and also attended his panel and his Black Butler panel with Brina Palencia.

The Black Butler Panel did get cancelled because of a medical emergency but it was still a lot of fun!

But overall the weekend was so amazing and I can’t wait to go to another convention! What’s a memorable con experience for you guys? Comment down below and let me know!

Fanime Con Adventures!

Published May 31, 2016 by Shay Taree

So for one day during this past memorial weekend I decided to go to fanime with a few of my friends! I had such a great time and even though I only went for one day it was awesome to see how much this convention has changed.

One this I was really happy for was being able to see everything in pretty much one place. Also I was happy to see that there was actually good being sold in the convention. Before the last time I went it was only really snacks. So I was really happy to see that.

But overall it’s always fun to go to conventions to see all the awesome cosplays,

go to different panels, and just meet lots of new people.

Did any of you go to any cons this past weekend and if so which ones? Comment down below and let me know!

Anime Creating Harmony

Published March 17, 2016 by Shay Taree

I recently read an article where about an anime convention in Milwaukee where because of this anime convention and anime in general it was able to cross racial barriers. This anime convention was able to desegregate a community which is something that even most government programs are unable to do.
The article even went on to mention how anime conventions bring people together under every culture, racial background, and financial background all because everyone there loves anime.

After reading this article it got me thinking about how true this really is. Anime has a way of bringing everyone together no matter what someone’s background is. It also has a way of teaching all of us something whether we knew it would or not.

I know that anime has definitely taught me to be more open minded and nicer to others. It’s taught me to reach out to others and also to reach for all my dreams no matter how far. Anime has taught me so much and also has connected me to so many different people that I never would have connected to.

Even with the people I’ve met through WordPress, YouTube, or Twitter I definitely wouldn’t have met them if it wasn’t for our love of anime and wanting to share it with others.

That is how I feel about this and this is one of the many reasons that I’m so happy to be an anime fan!

Now for my fellow readers of my blog. What do you think of this topic, what has anime taught you, and are you happy to be an anime fan? Comment down below on what you think about this. I can’t wait to read it!

SacAnime Day 3 & Final Recap!

Published September 6, 2015 by Shay Taree

Alright everyone I’m finally back home from SacAnime and omg the last day was so much fun! I didn’t do a whole lot and left kind of early to beat traffic but I still was able to do a few last minute things before I left.

The first thing on the agenda was going to the Video Game Voice Acting Legends Panel. Which had Travis Willingham, Laura Bailey, Wally Wingert, Steve Downes, and Jen Taylor!

This panel was so much fun and very funny!!! I definitely had a good time listening to their stories and their experience when it comes to voice acting in video games.

The last and final panel I went to was the Mighty Morphen Power Rangers Panel

and it was so cool to see some of my childhood favorite rangers all on one stage.

But overall that is what I did today on the last day of the convention. Also thanks so much for seeing and commenting on my posts. I hope you enjoyed them though and please continue to comment!

SacAnime Day 2 Recap!!!

Published September 5, 2015 by Shay Taree

Alright everyone so while I’m typing this I’m currently in a panel titled Chillin With The Voice Actors where there read radio scripts from the 30’s & 40’s! But anyway on with recap!

So my day today started off with watching a Bleach Q&A with Travis Willingham, Laura Bailey, Johnny Yong Bosch, Liam O’Brien, and Wally Wingert!

Also OMG that panel was sooooo good!!! It was so funny. I definitely enjoyed it and it was so cool to see many of my favorite voice actors in the same room together.

After the panel I then stood in line for autographs and OMG it was totally worth it. The only bad thing was paying for pictures which was 10$ each but like I said it was worth it! So I got a picture with Johnny Yong Bosch

Travis Willingham

& Laura Bailey

Like I said totally worth it since I’ve only ever seen their panels on YouTube and have always wanted to meet them. They were also really nice and autographed my SacAnime book!

But that’s it for the recap tonight but check it tomorrow’s recap for the last day of the con. So comment down below on whether you have met any voice actors including the ones I’ve met and what your experience was.
