I recently read an article where about an anime convention in Milwaukee where because of this anime convention and anime in general it was able to cross racial barriers. This anime convention was able to desegregate a community which is something that even most government programs are unable to do.
The article even went on to mention how anime conventions bring people together under every culture, racial background, and financial background all because everyone there loves anime.
After reading this article it got me thinking about how true this really is. Anime has a way of bringing everyone together no matter what someone’s background is. It also has a way of teaching all of us something whether we knew it would or not.
I know that anime has definitely taught me to be more open minded and nicer to others. It’s taught me to reach out to others and also to reach for all my dreams no matter how far. Anime has taught me so much and also has connected me to so many different people that I never would have connected to.
Even with the people I’ve met through WordPress, YouTube, or Twitter I definitely wouldn’t have met them if it wasn’t for our love of anime and wanting to share it with others.
That is how I feel about this and this is one of the many reasons that I’m so happy to be an anime fan!
Now for my fellow readers of my blog. What do you think of this topic, what has anime taught you, and are you happy to be an anime fan? Comment down below on what you think about this. I can’t wait to read it!

Now some people may get mad since I’m using the term nerd or geek but hey I don’t mind the term and I definitely embrace my nerd or geek side.
But the reason why I thought of this topic is because I saw the coverage of New York Comic Con on TV and it got me thinking that things have now changed with how geeky or nerdy things are viewed.
Yeah there are some things that could change in this realm like anime being more mainstream but I feel like everyone is try to be nerdy or geeky. I guess I notice it with the fashions that are now out and also with the glasses that are now in trend.
I kind of think it’s awesome that people are embracing things that are geeky or nerdy but I still find it strange that all of sudden it’s kind of in trend to be nerdy.
But what do you guys think of this or have you noticed that being geeky or nerdy is now a trend. Comment down below with what you think. I can’t wait to read you comments.

As everyone knows I went to a convention this weekend and I had a whole lot of fun. But this time I’m extending this question to everyone else as far as what your favorite thing to do at conventions are?
I know my favorite thing is to go to the different panels
, go shopping for things in the dealers room, and if there are voice actors I like trying to get their autograph.
But what about everyone else? Comment down below on what you like to do at conventions and if you haven’t been to one yet what would you like to do?

Alright everyone I’m finally back home from SacAnime and omg the last day was so much fun! I didn’t do a whole lot and left kind of early to beat traffic but I still was able to do a few last minute things before I left.
The first thing on the agenda was going to the Video Game Voice Acting Legends Panel. Which had Travis Willingham, Laura Bailey, Wally Wingert, Steve Downes, and Jen Taylor!
This panel was so much fun and very funny!!! I definitely had a good time listening to their stories and their experience when it comes to voice acting in video games.
The last and final panel I went to was the Mighty Morphen Power Rangers Panel
and it was so cool to see some of my childhood favorite rangers all on one stage.
But overall that is what I did today on the last day of the convention. Also thanks so much for seeing and commenting on my posts. I hope you enjoyed them though and please continue to comment!

Alright everyone so while I’m typing this I’m currently in a panel titled Chillin With The Voice Actors where there read radio scripts from the 30’s & 40’s! But anyway on with recap!
So my day today started off with watching a Bleach Q&A with Travis Willingham, Laura Bailey, Johnny Yong Bosch, Liam O’Brien, and Wally Wingert!
Also OMG that panel was sooooo good!!! It was so funny. I definitely enjoyed it and it was so cool to see many of my favorite voice actors in the same room together.
After the panel I then stood in line for autographs and OMG it was totally worth it. The only bad thing was paying for pictures which was 10$ each but like I said it was worth it! So I got a picture with Johnny Yong Bosch
Like I said totally worth it since I’ve only ever seen their panels on YouTube and have always wanted to meet them. They were also really nice and autographed my SacAnime book!
But that’s it for the recap tonight but check it tomorrow’s recap for the last day of the con. So comment down below on whether you have met any voice actors including the ones I’ve met and what your experience was.
