I also enjoyed it a lot.
I had a “Kathy Bates in Misery moment” however when it is never shown how Satoru escapes from being trapped in the car which is pushed into the river.
We see that he is trapped by the seat belt, and the car is going down in the water. Somehow he is out of the car.

Good review! This was a favorite of mine in this last season. It was really well done.
It was a very well done anime and very easy to binge watch.
