February Kawaii Box Review!

Published March 13, 2015 by Shay Taree

So yesterday I received my monthly subscription to Kawaii Box and it was so cute!

I got a lot of neat things such as chopsticks, some candy, a cute lollipop hair clip, a bracelet, a little stuffed raccoon key chain, and much more.

This time there was a bit of a smell that I’m not for sure where it was coming from. But it went away after a few minutes.
I’m most excited about the chopsticks and the hair clip since I love hair accessories. But if you would like to subscribe to kawaii box go to kawaiibox.com. It’s only 18.50 month and it has free shipping.
Let me know what you thought of this review and of Kawaii Box overall if any of yall are subscribed as well. Once comment down below and I will always answer you back!

Akame Ga Kill First Impressions

Published March 12, 2015 by Shay Taree

So I’m half way through Akame Ga Kill and this show is ridiculous and has already taken me through a range of emotions. So please no spoilers. I’ve been sad, upset, mad, laughed, almost cried, and of course been disgusted at the violence. But here is the synopsis of the show:

In a fantasy world, fighter Tatsumi sets out for the Capitol to earn money for his starving village, and finds a world of unimaginable corruption, all spreading from the depraved Prime Minister who controls the child Emperor’s ear. After nearly becoming a victim of this corruption himself, Tatsumi is recruited by Night Raid, a group of assassins dedicated to eliminating the corruption plaguing the Capitol by mercilessly killing those responsible.

Now the violence in the show definitely doesn’t bother me but its so crazy how crazy the people in this show is. Literally every episode is filled with people with different weapons and abilities but that’s what makes it interesting.

Also I’ve realized why when I decided to watch this show quite a few people told me not to get attached to any of the characters but I did. I know I shouldn’t have but I couldn’t help it and I definitely have a favorite character. Of course it’s Akame

because she is sooooo cool! I love her Imperial Arms but once again I’m only halfway through the series so we will see what happens.
Surprisingly I also really like Tatsumi.

Even though he does kind of act like the typical hero in a few actions shows I’ve watched. He can be used for comedic effect in some scenes, he can be fierce in battle, and he can be sensitive during those hard moments. But overall I think I like him because he had all these elements and he also reminds of Ichigo from Bleach. Let me know if anyone that has seen the show thinks this too.
The humor in this show is awesome! I’ve actually really laughed out loud during a few moments in this show and most have to do with either Tatsumi or Mine. They are just amazing when it comes to comedic relief.

But so far I’m really liking this show and I can’t wait to see what happens next. So I’ll give it so far an 8/10. I’ll put out a complete review once I finish this show so look out for that later.  So comment down below what you thought of this first impression of Akame Ga Kill. Also like always if you comment I will always comment back.

AAA Manga Review

Published March 11, 2015 by Shay Taree

Alright so I just finished reading the manga AAA by Fukushima Haruka. It was actually a really good manga and from the moment I started reading it I couldn’t stop. But here is the synopsis:

Ogata Aoi is in her 2nd year of middle school and is the president of the student council. The middle school she attends is one of the best in the country and is called “AAA”. Aoi goes there to meet her first love, but after a surprising meeting, she’s finding out that her first love is a gang leader in the neighbor school, called “CCC” (lowest level). Maybe it’s only a coincidence that that gang leader and her first love have the same name since they look completely different from each other, but now, Aoi wants to find more about this person….

This is definitely a shoujo manga (my favorite genre actually) but it actually reminded me a lot about Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. I’m not going to say to much regarding that because it may give some things away. Also AAA definitely had a twist in it that I didn’t see coming.

It had a lot of sweet moments that definitely made me swoon

as well as a few moments that had my heart beating fast because of what was going on.

It’s a quick read since it’s only 15 chapters long but it was definitely a good switch from the manga that I’ve been reading.

So if your looking for a short by good shoujo manga definitely check out AAA because it will have you enraptured from beginning to end. So I give AAA a 9/10 even though the plot could be kind of predictable at times but still it was just to sweet to not enjoy. Also I would love to see this made into an anime one day!

So let me know what you thought of this review and also let me know what manga’s you are reading. So comment down below and like always I will answer back!

Anime That Left A Lasting Impression? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Published March 10, 2015 by Shay Taree

So this was an interesting topic that I thought up and that was what anime left a lasting impression on you. Now you take this question and interpret it as anything you like. It could be anything from how it made you think, which anime can always make you happy, an anime that made you look at yourself different, etc.

Now for me the anime that had a lasting impression on me definitely has to be a tie between Sailor Moon and Death Note. Sailor Moon because it taught me a lot about friendship, being brave, and standing up for the things you believe in. Also it’s an anime that is very nostalgic for me so it always takes me back to my childhood and I know that it can make me happy.

The other one Death Note left a lasting impression on me because it showed me that even people who are trying to do good can get corrupted by the power that they have. It was an amazing anime that showed me that not everyone has the best intentions and it also showed me that sometimes you can start off trying to do one thing but then things can drastically change that can deviate you from your goal that you had in place before.

But what about all of you? I’m sure there is an anime or Anime’s that have left a lasting impression on you and I would love to know what they are and why. Comment down below and like always I will also ways answer back because I love the conversations that start.

Sailor Moon Crystal Episode 17 Review!

Published March 9, 2015 by Shay Taree
So of course this was another week where we were all treated to a new episode of Sailor Moon Crystal. Let me just say that this Black Moon Arc is definitely so much better than the first arc of this series. But let’s get into the review of this episode shall we.
So this episode started off with what is left of the Sailor Scouts still trying to figure out what to do regarding now both Sailor Mars and Sailor Mercury being kidnapped by the Black Moon. Usagi is of course depressed but surprisingly Chibi-Usa actually is trying her best to cheer Usagi up. She even lets her borrow her cute little Tuxedo Mask doll she got from Mamoru.

Also Chibi-Usa seems to be getting rather attached to Usagi which I’m actually really liking. It’s just so sweet seeing them interact with each other especially when they are at the arcade and get matching Sailor V dolls.
But this episode we got to meet Petz one of the Specter sisters.

Also this episode we got to know more about Makoto which was amazing. I’ve been wanting to know more about each scout and this arc is definitely doing that. Anyway Makoto ends up catching a cold and even while sick she was kick some major Black Moon butt.

But in the end she does end up getting captured as well. Which now leaves 2 scouts left.
I definitely can’t wait to the next episode where they try to figure out if Chibi-Usa is friend or foe. Overall I give this episode a 9/10. I was happy to see more of Chibi-Usa and find out more about Makoto.
But let me know what you all thought of this episode and what you think of the series so far overall. Like always I will always answer back to comments.

Favorite Anime Opening Or Ending Currently!

Published March 7, 2015 by Shay Taree

So my favorite anime opening or ending changes all the time depending on what anime I’m watching or just finished watching. So at them moment the song I chose is from Sword Art Online II and that’s because I just finished watching it not long that long ago.

The song I really like is the 3rd ending song that plays during the Mother Rosario Arc. It’s called Shirushi and it’s by LiSA.
The song fits what’s going on in the show at the time so well so it actually made me sad when I heard it. Plus the piano playing at the beginning is what definitely caught my ear.
But what anime opening or ending are you playing on repeat at the moment? I would love to know! So comment down below what it is and let me know what you think of the song I chose. Like always I will always answer back when you comment.

Myanimelist.net Review

Published March 5, 2015 by Shay Taree

Hey all so I decided today to do a review on an anime application/ website that I used to frequent often but is actually really cool. That website is myanimelist.net.

I had actually found out about the website in 2009 when I was getting back into anime and it was just a great website to be able to list the anime I’ve seen, ones I want to see, and ones I’ve dropped. Also it was a great way for me to be able to see what others were watching and come across new anime to watch.

You are able to make a profile and start listing your anime from there. If you have a profile your able to download the app and then you have access to the catalog of anime they have listed as well at the personal list that you have created. Now the app only works in keeping track of your anime it hasn’t exactly been able to keep in contact with those you’ve friended on there but that’s okay.

But overall if your looking for an app where you can find some great new anime to watch, make new friends, and also discuss you favorite anime’s then definitely check out myanimelist.net
I’ve also only scratched the surface of what this website and app can do but I definitely love it. I give the website and app an 8/10 because while it does have its glitches sometimes it definitely serves its purpose.
So comment down below what you think of this website and app. Also let me know if you have an account I would love to follow many of you. Also like I always I will always comment back.

Sword Art Online II Review

Published March 3, 2015 by Shay Taree
So literally as I’m writing this I have quite a few tears in my eyes. Thankfully I didn’t completely lose it because I didn’t feel like re-doing my eye makeup but still I was pretty close.
But anyways I just finished season 2 of Sword Art Online and I actually really enjoyed it but honestly there were moments where I was like seriously where is this going. This was mostly during the later half of the show so don’t worry.
Now the beginning half of the show I enjoy so much because there was so much action. Kirito of course has to go inside another VRMMO game to figure out how players are once again not only dying in the game but also in real life. The game is called Gun Gale Online or GGO. Now I will say that the funniest moment is when Kirito sees what his avatar looks like. That moment had me laughing for a while. There he meets a girl and she has her own crazy past that honestly if that was me I have no idea what I would do.

Now the 2nd half of the series is where things became very slow at parts. I wasn’t for sure what the point of it was but all I know if that there was a lot of drama going on especially concerning Asuna and her mother. It wasn’t until the last 5 or 6 episodes that I started to get back into it again when another player by the name of Yuuki and her guild the Sleeping Knights were introduced.

Now this is where things got really sad and I’m definitely not going to spoil it for you so don’t worry but definitely go and watch it to find out what happens.
One of the things that I really liked about this series though that I didn’t notice until the end was that the later half mostly focused on Asuna and Kirito became a background character which I actually really liked. We as the viewers got to know more about Asuna, her personality, and also her fears. Which in the end made Asuna more relatable because you realized that she isn’t perfect and had her faults too.

Now the music in season 2 was actually pretty good. I loved the opening and ending songs but I especially loved the ending song later half of the series since it for the atmosphere of what was going on during the time and made you sadder.
Overall I really enjoyed this series even though there were moments where I wanted to just stop watching it. So I’ll give this show an 8/10 since the slow parts in the middle was a hurdle to get through but then the show redeemed itself towards the end. Now I’m going to go and watch something funny so I can stop being sad about this show.
So like always comment down below what you thought about Sword Art Online II and also this review. I will always answer back!
